'Shark Tank': Salad Sling sent home without a deal but why do fans want rapper Petey Pablo on the panel?
ABC's award-winning show 'Shark Tank' is the perfect platform for entrepreneurs to show off their unique products and services. While some products instantly impress everyone with their innovations, others just fall flat. Unfortunately, the recently featured greens drying device called Salad Sling fell under the latter category.
Jill Visit, the founder of Salad Sling entered 'Shark Tank' with the hopes of impressing the Sharks and raising some investment for her business. She went in seeking $100K for a 20% stake in her company but instead, she not only left with no deal from the Sharks but also failing to impress them and the fans with her unique product.

Salad Sling was pitched as a more affordable and user-friendly version of the popular salad spinner for drying greens. It is a super-absorbent microfiber towel with a waterproof liner that dries greens using centrifugal force. In order to use the Salad Sling, you just need to lay it flat and place all your greens at the center of the sling after they have been rinsed and the excess moisture has been shaken off. Then you just need to gather the four handles of the sling into one hand and swing it to your heart's content. Finally lay the pouch flat and voila, you have your dry greens ready to be tossed into your salad.
Although the Sharks had fun slinging around their greens to dry them out, when it finally came down to doing business with Jill they weren't entirely convinced about the need for the product in the market. So none of the Sharks made an offer. It looks like the Sharks aren't the only ones unimpressed by the product, as fans too echoed similar sentiments.
A fan tweeted, "Sorry, but #SaladSling is dumb #SharkTank." Another fan compared it to the cloth used for drying cars. "Thats just one of those towels you dry a car with repurposed #SharkTank," pointed the fan. "That salad swing def is just bacteria hosting waiting to happen ion trust it lol #sharktank (yes this is my Friday night lmao)," wrote a fan.

Several fans also began joking about rapper Petey Pablo taking a keen interest in the product while referencing his popular song 'Raise Up', where he raps 'Take yo shirt off, twist round yo head like a helicopter'. A fan joked, "I bet she woulda had a deal for her Salad Sling if Petey Pablo was a Shark tonight, LMBO!!!! #SharkTank #PeteyPablo #SaladSling #WSBTV #WSB #ABC @ABCSharkTank @ABCNetwork @DaRealPetey."

Another fan shared, "Someone get Petey Pablo on the line #SharkTank #SaladSling." "Sometime during the panasonic i started watching shark tank in earnest. some lady just tried to get money for a salad sling, which is basically a $20 towel that you swing around to dry your wet greens in, like petey pablo," pointed a fan.
