‘Shark Tank’: Why didn't Chill Systems get a deal? Unimpressed fans say ‘get your jobs back’ at Google and Apple
Two entrepreneurs — Chase Mitchell and Brian Bloch — from Los Angeles hopped onto ‘Shark Tank’ to pitch their ultra-portable product designed to keep things cool. Introducing Chill Systems, the official website explains, “Enjoy ice-cold drinks — anywhere! The Chiller cools down beer, wine, spirits and more — and it's only about the size of a football. Chill a new round every 30 minutes for up to 6 hours.”
Wondering how much capacity it has? The Pack can carry a Chiller plus a 6-pack of 12 oz cans or two 750 ml bottles. The Tote can carry a Chiller plus twelve 12oz cans or bottles, or four 750 ml bottles of wine or spirits.

The duo was seeking $150,000 for a 15% stake. Sadly, it was quite difficult for Chill Systems to grab a deal and the founders had to return home empty-handed. The main reason was their product costs. "My product costs are horrific. Uh oh. No good. Those numbers are terrible," one tweet read.
Talking about the problems with the product, Daniel Lubetzky posted, "I appreciate that Chase and Brian are acknowledging that their cost structure is awful, but this seems to be just one of many problems. So far, they're not selling me..."

Viewers weren't too impressed either. "Mr Wonderful's gonna bill them for spilling ice all over the studio floor and damaging the rug," one tweet read and another said, "Mr Wonderful: 'It only holds three beers. I'll throw these down in 45 minutes.' Also, it won't snugly fit the wine glasses for his Chevaliers du Tastevin Club meetings." A third blatantly posted, "Get your jobs back guys. That cooler isn't innovative."
A fourth said, "They left Apple and Google to make.......a portable cooler.....ughhhh." And a fifth posted, "The coolers should have been a part time gig thing. You quit your jobs at Google and Apple to sell coolers you not even making money on? Yikes."
