'The Mandalorian and Grogu' is finally heading to Disney+ after making its theatrical debut earlier this year. The Star Wars movie will begin streaming on September 2, giving fans a new way to watch Din Djarin and Grogu's latest adventure. The film arrived in cinemas on May 22, marking the pair's first theatrical outing. Jon Favreau directed the movie, which continues the story established by the Disney+ series 'The Mandalorian.'

Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin, with Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder continuing to portray the Mandalorian in the character's action sequences. Grogu remains at the center of the story alongside his adoptive father. The movie expands the cast with Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward and Jeremy Allen White providing the voice of Rotta the Hutt. Martin Scorsese is another unexpected name in the cast, lending his voice to Hugo Durant.

'The Mandalorian and Grogu' has already made its way to digital platforms for home viewing. The Disney+ release now gives subscribers access without requiring a separate digital rental or purchase.

The movie has also become a major theatrical release for the franchise. It marks 'Star Wars' return to cinemas after the 2019 release of 'The Rise of Skywalker,' ending a more than six-year gap. The next theatrical Star Wars project is set to arrive in 2027. 'Star Wars: Starfighter' is scheduled for May 28, 2027.

Ryan Gosling stars alongside Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, and Amy Adams. Shawn Levy will be directing this film. ‘Starfighter’ will arrive almost a year after 'The Mandalorian and Grogu' reaches Disney+.
