Spoilers for 'Shaq Life' Episode 5 'Shaq vs Europe' Part 1

This episode sees Shaq out to prove his critics wrong. He was not going to be a novelty celeb act. The NBA legend's DJ aspirations were off to a rocky start, but he did find some solid ground at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre where he dished out a much-improved performance.

However, with the European tour coming up, there's enough reason to be serious and Brian Bayati, Shaq's go-to music DJ producer, and Brian sure are stressed. Considering Europe is the house of some of the best DJ's in the world. Think Tiesto, Diplo, Hardwell and others.

However, the mood in DJ Diesel's camp is pretty relaxed. The business part's doing their thing, the music part, well, clearly they don't know what they're going to play in Croatia, their first stop in Europe.

And as expected, the outing ends terribly for Shaq & Co. At one point in the episode, Shaq says his ultimate goal is to "Be the hardest base DJ out there."

However, this latest setback may have had critics thinking, "I told you so".  The episode sees some friction between the team and Brian as the latter is disappointed with the way things unfold.

'Shaq vs Europe' Part 1 is the second biggest challenge the star faces. Papa John's was the first, and now it's about getting some recognition back as DJ Diesel.

The first step, however, is to make sure his team's on the same page and the same side. The upcoming episode serves as a continuation as Shaq switches to disaster management mode.

This episode, in particular, takes a relatively serious tone and it has a lot to do with the footage that sees Brian storming off seething with anger. There's unrest in the team and that makes it harder for Shaq who's under pressure to up his DJ game.

TNT makes great use of these clips that also how Shaq's people around him take their jobs. Especially Brian, who may have been tightly wound because of the stress, but he does take pride in working for the man and his job.

Only time will tell how Shaq will handle this latest snag. 'Shaq Life' airs on Thursdays at 9 pm ET on TNT.
