'Real Housewives of Orange County' beautifully captures Shannon Beador's journey from messy divorce to astounding weight loss
The 'Real Housewives of Orange County' is a very popular reality show that follows the lives of a few glamorous and rich housewives, who spend their day juggling between lamenting about their "first-world problems" with other housewives and managing their family lives.
The first episode of the series premiered on March 2006 with five housewives. Through the course of its 13 glorious seasons, we have seen many housewives join and leave the show. Among them, one particular housewife has won the hearts of many with the brutally honest display of her personal life in front of cameras — Shannon Beador.
Shannon joined the show in season nine, and since then we have seen her forming a strong bond with her fellow housewives — Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge. The trio calls themselves "Tres Amigas", and they even have an Instagram page, where they describe themselves as a trio that wants to show the world that one can have fun even post 50.
She divorced her husband, David Beador, after 17 years of marriage when she found out that he had been cheating on her. She has three children with him. The former couple first announced their split on the RHOC season 12 reunion episode. The stress of divorce took a toll on her and she began putting on a lot of weight. Since season 13, the toll that the split took on Shannon, her vulnerability and honesty won her many fans. She soon became a favorite and one of the most loved housewives on the show.
Since her divorce, we see her trying to rebuild her life on the show. In the recent cast photo that was released by Bravo, we can’t help but notice her massive weight loss. Shannon has lost 40 pounds and is enjoying being single. A fan commented, "She looks fabulous! That is the best revenge!".
In the trailer released for season 14, we see Shannon all bandaged from her visit to the plastic surgeon, but that doesn’t dampen her spirit as she paints the town red with her fellow housewife Kelly Dodd. We can’t wait to see Shannon's new journey in the upcoming season 14 of RHOC.
