The smashing success of ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ (RHOC) resulted in several Real Housewives spinoffs, such as ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’, ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, etc. The show gives us a glimpse into the lives of these glamorous housewives as they sit in their designer outfits sipping on fancy champagne and discussing the latest gossip in their tight-knit circle while balancing their household and family life. The first episode of this series premiered in March 2006 with five housewives.

Through the course of its thirteen glorious seasons, we have seen many housewives join the show and leaving the show. One particular housewife that deserves a special mention is the OG housewife, Vicki Gunvalson. Vicki has been on the show since day 1 and continued entertaining us with her drama and antics for thirteen seasons. Fellow housewives: Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador and Vicki have formed a clique popularly known as “Tres Amigas”.

There were rumors flying around that Vicki’s place on the show might soon be axed, to which Vicki responded saying that she was still in negotiations and not to believe anything until she confirms anything. Finally, putting all the rumors to rest, Vicki took to her Instagram to post an emotional message about her journey on the ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ show. She wrote, "For the past 14 years I’ve opened up my life, my loves, my ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Orange County and I am proud to be the 'OG of the OC.' I am back again this season right in the middle of the action in a different role."

She has now been demoted from the role of housewife to the friend of housewives. The post garnered a lot of responses and reactions from her fellow housewives, fans and even the producer of the show, Andy Cohen. Andy left a sweet message to Vicki’s post saying, “Vicki you ARE the OC. Here’s to another 14 years….. #OGofOC

Fans are not too pleased with the show-makers' decision to demote Vicki's role. Several fans have taken to Twitter to express their discontentment and even started the hashtag #justiceforvicki. A twitter user commented, "What happened?? Why was she "demoted"? I just don't understand!! It will NOT be a show without her".  Several fans were so upset, they declared that they wouldn't watch the show anymore, without Vicki in it. A fan wrote, "These shows get worse and worse. You’ve ruined them with your poor casting choices. You’ve lost a viewer. #RHOC #JusticeForVicki". Another fan added, "This is all on @Andy he is an EP. step down already Andy. You made a bad EP decision!! No one is going to watch. #JusticeForVicki".

Not all fans were disappointed with the news, some were happy that Vicki won't be the center-stage anymore. "#RHOC Vicki's gone but the show must go on! @TamraBarney @ShannonBeador".  "Vicki IS housewives. She mothers on camera. She works on camera. She got divorced on camera. She got conned on camera. Her entire time on this show has been unfiltered & unscripted. She started this franchise & a year of demotion to get her back in the mix isn't stopping her #RHOC ",  wrote a fan, who is very optimistic about Vicki's return.

Post Vicki's demotion, a new housewife has been introduced as the cast member. Kelly Dodd's (a housewife of RHOC) friend Braunwyn Windham-Burke will be replacing Vicki. You can catch all the drama from the latest season 14 of 'Real Housewives of Orange Country' post its premiere on August 6 at 9/8c only on Bravo.
