The 708-test wicket great was found unconscious inside his room in Samujana Villas, a luxury resort in Koh Samui. Warne's manager Andrew Neophitou did CPR on him for around 20 minutes before he was taken to the Thai International Hospital, but he was declared dead there. An autopsy concluded he died from natural causes.

MEAWW previously reported how a close friend of Warne’s claimed the late Australian cricketer had secret relationships with many women at the time of his death. Radio host Kyle Sandilands said, "There were quite a few women who were in a secret relationship with Shane" before his untimely demise. "I think you’ll find that there were quite a few women that were in a secret relationship with Shane," he said on 'The Kyle and Jackie O Show' on August 16. "As I know of a few [women] that were very upset, but that’s Shane. Shane spread the love around," he continued, "And the reason that it’s a secret is so the others don’t find out. Just saying, you’re not special." It came after OnlyFans model Gina Stewart claimed she was in a secret relationship with the cricketer and was in contact with him before he left for Thailand. She was heartbroken over the news of his death. "I have been devastated over the last few months. I was dating Shane but it wasn’t well-known. He wanted to keep it personal," she told the Daily Star.
