Warne died a natural death in Thailand, the cause of his death has been suspected to be a “heart attack”. The cricketer wrote about his scandalous threesome in his autobiography “No Spin” which was published in 2018.
Warne was former captain for Hampshire. Warne got a text message from 25-year-old New Zealand-born model Caroline Eichholtz which read: “You should be here with me.” The message also had a picture of her and Kearney kissing.
“They were in London, I was in Southampton. I texted back, saying I'd be there in an hour,” Warne wrote in his book 'No Spin'.
After picking up three bottles of alcohol, Warne drove to Kearney's apartment in Knightsbridge where the sexual encounter happened. “They got up and started dancing with each other, very provocatively, very sexual, kissing each other,” Warne wrote.
Warne was 36 when the incident happened. After he reached the apartment, he chit-chatted with the models while smoking and having alcohol. Later, both of them pulled out a ‘massive, blow-up sex toy’ which further led to sex.
"There was a lot of laughter, another drink, and one thing led to another. I started kissing them both, clothes off, and then, from nowhere, they pulled a bed out of the wall! Well, we just went for it,” Warne wrote.
After the encounter, Warne left the apartment at midnight around 2.30 am. He then drove back to the cricket stadium, took a nap for a few hours in his car. Five hours later he bowled dazzlingly and secured 7 wickets for Hampshire helming them secure a victory.
On that day, he got a call from the editor of UK tabloid New of the World who exposed that they have pictures of him having a threesome. He abused “F*** off" to the Tabloid editor and threatened him to discard the pictures and then called Eichholtz.
“Oh my God,” she said. “You wouldn’t believe it, my friend has sold the story. She got pictures — she had a hidden camera.”
“I’m not a criminal … yes, I’m into women, which has cost me massively, time after time. He wrote, “To me, only a pretty sad mind goes undercover to make a few bucks out of a friend and a guy she's never met before. Either that or Coralie was lying and she set the whole thing up. Then it's even worse.”
