Sex Education’ has been one of the best shows for Netflix and it has given some really amazing information about sex to a lot of people, including adults. But the show is just not about sex, it’s also about emotions, friendships, and most importantly, relationships. So, Season 2 ended on a rather tragic note. We saw Otis (Asa Butterfield) finally confessing his love for Maeve (Emma Mackey) in a voicemail that he sent at the end of the second edition. But Isaac Goodwin (George Robinson) gets to know about the voicemail and deletes it. He also sent Otis away from her place as the season comes to an end.

The latest edition starts with everyone, literally everyone in the series having sex with their significant others or random people. But the most exciting thing is that Mooredale is opening and it’s time to see students entering the school halls once again. However, the most important thing to know is that the school’s reputation has gone down after the chlamydia outbreak. To make things right, they have roped in a new headmistress named Hope (Jemima Kirk). She said she’s going to bring her expertise here and bring back the school to its former glory.

Elsewhere, Otis is having sex with the most popular girl in the school, Ruby Matthews (Mimi Keene). While having a sexual encounter with her in abandoned toilets, Otis gets to know that someone is trying to give advice to students about sex and charging money for it. But whoever he is, he is giving wrong advice to everyone which could have dangerous results.

One of the students, Dex Thompson (Lino Facioli), was seen taking advice from the so-called “sex king”. Otis gets to know his identity and it was none other than Kyle, who was doing this to earn some extra money. Additionally, Otis finally tells Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa) about him and Ruby. Soon, the entire school gets to know about it. But, it seems Dex is still not able to do what the sex king said. Otis and Maeve take cognizance of his problems and said that the size of the penis doesn’t matter because everyone can’t have big penises. It’s all about how you innovate and make your partner feel pleasure.

Meanwhile, Maeve said that Dex should not be upset that he can’t make her girlfriend orgasm. She also told him to do various things and one of the first things he should do is to find her friend’s clitoris. Dex thanked them for their valuable advice and congratulates Otis for having sex with Ruby.

Otis goes to the new headmistress and says that the sex clinic is still functioning but he and Maeve have nothing to do with it. It is dangerous and could cause problems. The episode ends with the Headmistress destroying the abandoned toilets completely as Maeve looks in disbelief that Otis told the headmistress about it. He says it’s finally over as the episode comes to an end.

A still from 'Sex Education' Season 3 (Netflix)

The episode was all about how students make their way into the school once again and also gives a glimpse of how Otis and Maeve want to talk with each other, but still, there are a lot of differences. Otis told the headmistress about the abandoned toilets and how the sex clinic was still being run. He really wanted to finish everything about it and seems the differences between Otis and Maeve will grow only further after this incident.

A solid start to the new season with some good insights about characters and sex.
