SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: ‘Seoul Vibe’ is the next Korean film to hit Netflix that has viewers excited. Anticipation is high as it cast the likes of movie star Yoo Ah-in who had surprised everyone with his role as the antagonist on the Netflix K-drama ‘Hellbound’. The gritty action film also stars ‘All Of Us Are Dead’s Lee Kyu-hyung, Go Kyung-pyo, Park Ju-hyun of ‘Extracurricular’ fame and idol actor Ong Seong-wu. And it looks like even Winner’s Mino is set to make a cameo in the film, making it his acting debut.

‘Seoul Vibe’ is a fun action comedy set in 1988 as a group of drivers are roped in by a prosecutor to go undercover and participate in underground races to take down a money-laundering ring from within. The film already caught the attention of K-pop fans for casting Ong Seong-wu of the former K-pop group Wanna One and for roping in Winner’s Mino and Gaeko for the OST that was first heard in the Netflix trailer. Well, on August 16, Netflix Korea released still cuts of ‘Seoul Vibe’ surprising Winner fans with Mino channelling his inner street thug as he sports a red tracksuit, gold chains, tattoos and a buzz cut.

Mino to make acting debut in ‘Seoul Vibe’

Apart from being a K-pop idol in the boy group Winner, Mino aka Song Minho is also a known face in the K-hip hop community as a rapper, producer and soloist. His 4D personality has also made him a favorite among variety shows and entertainment programs. Well, he will be taking on the role of Galchi in ‘Seoul Vibe’, marking his acting debut in the Netflix film. Galchi is an old rival of Yoo Ah-in's Dong-wook having been born and raised in the same neighborhood. Jealousy makes him want to defeat Dong-wook’s team in any which way possible. Production shared that Mino’s natural acting had left a strong impression of the otherwise mean character.
