Christine Quinn evaded walking down the aisle thrice in her life. Something felt amiss all the time for her but with Christian Richard, things were different and this time no uncertainties flooded her head and she married him in December last year. The theme of her wedding was a Wicked Winter Wonderland and the event had everything right from black stallions to white and black swans and a bleeding cake. Beverly Hills event planner Lisa Lafferty helped bring this beautiful yet eerie wedding come to life and she made it snow in sunny Los Angeles, yes real snow, for this event.

Guests arriving at the event entered the venue through a towering magical, twinkling tunnel surrounded by real ice icicles. They then enjoyed a Winter Wonderland-themed “welcome hour” before the actual ceremony with a harpist playing modern romantic music in the background. Guests were later escorted to the place of the ceremony which resembled a Winter Wonderland dream. Details like large crystal chandeliers, towering snow-covered trees with dangling white roses, glistening snow-covered icicles lined the aisle, along with a dewy ground covering of snow and fog, in a room completely draped with white chiffon, added to the surrealism of the event. For the vows, Christine arrived in a vintage black horse-drawn carriage with two black stallions with 'Sweet but Psycho' by Ava Maxx playing in the background by a string quartet. The aisle was fogged with snowy dew and real snow fell as Christine walked down the aisle, adding to the cold and chilly winter setting.

It was cocktail time once again for the guests, post the ceremony. It continued to snow for them while they took in the beauty of a whimsical and suggestive 'Wall of Sin' art installation with hands wearing beautiful rhinestone gloves that also served onyx-tinted champagne to them.

The next hour and a half were spent to transform the Winter Wonderland dream theme to a wicked, dark elegant, and romantic reception. Over 100 workers labored to replace the decor to add black velvet lounge areas, black mirrored tables with gold legs/accents, smoke-colored glassware, gold brushed flatware, baroque style chargers, hand-drawn calligraphy place cards. The white chiffon was switched to black. Large gargoyle statues and towering bare branches filled the room and two regal
Florals: Black calla lilies, red and black magic roses, skulls, smoked tapered candles and gargoyles nestled in flowers were placed on each guests' table and two regal 6ft black and gold thrones for bride and groom at the sweetheart table.

The bride and groomed made a dramatic entry to a faux thunderstorm as incredible lightning and thunder filled the room while the venue turned grey and foggy with incredible lightning bolts striking on the LED screens, on the walls and ceiling of the venue. The four-tier gravity-defying cake, a Julie Simon creation, bled when the bride and groom cut into it. It had details like a black sugar gargoyle cake topper, blood-red poppies and black orchids, black lace, sequins, black velvety petals, withered branches, black ravens, all made of sugar.

The wedding is documented in this season of 'Selling Sunset' all episodes of which are now streaming on Netflix.
