What do Cris and Mindy Follett do, exactly?

Cris and Mindy's company, Extreme Plates, provides complete construction site solutions and products. With a client base of construction firms across North America, their services include maintaining clean job sites by minimizing track out debris and control erosion.

As per their Facebook page, their "goal is to partner with construction project managers to keep their job-site abiding with BMP (BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES) and in compliance with SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan), ESOP, NPDES, and any applicable ordinances set forth by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) or other such appropriate governing agencies." Their business also specializes in providing heavy-duty track out grates, steel shakers and rumble plates.

What are shaker plates and grates?

To understand what this equipment does, it's important to remember that construction sites are encouraged to maintain a certain set of BMPs or best management practices. This includes reducing the tracking of sediment, which often happens when construction vehicles move back and forth. What track-out grates and plates essential do is help remove soil and rocks from vehicles as they leave the worksite and enter public areas like roads and highways.

These products help reduce sediment pollution that can often prove to be rather hazardous, seeing that they can lodge water bodies and pollute roads in general. When placed on a flat surface, the grates help eliminate the sediment and rocks that often get wedged between tires. The rumbling effect helps get rid of them and allows the company or the firm to stay within the BMP guidelines.

Will the Foletts get their dream home?

Seeing that their business has grown to be largely successful over time, the couple is now on the lookout for a new home to accommodate their family. They seem to have something very specific in mind too — the couple is looking for a home that's definitely luxurious. Did you catch this HGTV short that has Mindy mention that they've been looking for something that resembles a resort? Woah, will she get what she's looking for?

Enter Clinton Kelly, the award-winning host of 'Chew' and 'What Not To Wear'. In this episode of 'Self-Made Mansions', Kelly helps the Folletts pick out a stunning luxury home of their dreams.
