'Seeking Sister Wife' Season 5 full cast: Meet TLC's former and newer throuples who will join the show
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Seeking Sister Wife' Season 5 premieres on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 9 pm ET on TLC. The television channel announced the series on February 15, 2024.
Along with the old Merrifield and Davis families, some new families will also join the show. In Season 5, five families will share their unique journey, with three being newcomers (the Ryans, Salahuddins, and Sherwoods), while the Davises and Merrifields are returning from previous seasons.
These families are described as "determined" to welcome "new wives" into their lives, setting the stage for their navigation through challenges, heartbreaks, and the complexities of forming polygamous relationships.
Meet the cast:
Merrifield family
The Merrifield family, featured includes stars Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield. The couple courted potential sister wife Roberta Pache during seasons 3 and 4 of 'Seeking Sister Wife'.
However, the relationship took a turn, with the couple accusing Roberta of scamming them out of thousands of dollars, and ended up in a divorce.
Despite this, Garrick and Dannielle remained together and were actively seeking a new sister wife. Soon they are introduced to a Brazilian woman Nathalia.
After more than a decade of monogamous living, Garrick, guided by what he believes is divine inspiration, felt compelled to embrace a plural marriage lifestyle. The couple has two sons, Geremiah (11) and Solomon (10), from their marriage.
Davis Family
The Davis family, introduced in Season 4 of 'Seeking Sister Wife' initially consisted of Nick, along with his first two wives, Jennifer and April. The family was in the process of incorporating Danielle into their dynamic.
April, Danielle, and Jennifer all maintain full-time professions. Nick and April first met 15 years ago at university, later welcoming Jennifer into their marriage nine years afterward.
By the end of 'Seeking Sister Wife' Season 4, the Davis family successfully welcomed Danielle as their new wife.
Despite Danielle's initial unfamiliarity with polygamy, she seamlessly integrated into the family, becoming a perfect addition.
Ryan Family
The Ryan family from Texas, led by Becky and Justin, who have enjoyed a 26-year marriage, will be introduced to fans in the upcoming season.
Despite their current girlfriend's hesitation to fully commit to their polygamous lifestyle, a new potential addition, Yary, enters the scene.
However, it becomes evident that Yary is primarily interested in connection with Justin rather than embracing the polygamous lifestyle, creating a potential source of drama and tension in the new season.
Sherwood family
In the upcoming season, viewers will meet Shane and Ashley Sherwood, a new couple from Pennsylvania eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby. The Sherwood family has identified a potential sister wife.
However, uncertainties arise as it becomes apparent that she may be more interested in a romantic connection with Ashley rather than embracing a polygamous relationship with Shane.
This dynamic sets the stage for potential drama and tension in the new season for the Sherwood family.
The Salahuddins
The Salahuddins, hailing from Pennsylvania, are a mysterious couple with limited information available. The trailer suggests that the mother-in-law is unhappy with their desire to pursue a polygamous lifestyle.
The couple faces resistance from their family as they strive to establish a throuple, going against the wishes of their relatives.
However, the OG stars Ashley and Dimitri Snowden will not return for season 5 of 'Seeking Sister Wife' after reuniting post-breakup in April 2022.
After facing challenges in their search for a polygamous partner in season 1, the Snowden couple found a more promising connection with Vanessa Cobb in Season 2 of 'Seeking Sister Wife'.
Despite signs of tension and issues within the Snowden relationship, they ultimately proceeded to marriage in the Season 2 finale.
However, ahead of the Season 3 premiere, Vanessa surprisingly departed from the relationship with Dimitri and Ashley, as the couple did not make a comeback to the new season.
