Chelsea Orcutt and Thomas Gipson's Relationship Timeline: 'Temptation Island' stars' commitment will be severely tested
It's not often that couples who have been together for just a year decide to test their relationship on a show like 'Temptation Island'. However 29-year-old Chelsea Orcutt, a marketing co-ordinator, model, actor and singer and 37-year-old Thomas Gipson, an investment trader turned actor, took the decision to do just that, on season 3 of 'Temptation Island'.
So before they shot into the national spotlight and became social media darlings how did their romance actually begin?

Before Temptation
Thomas and Chelsea were introduced by a mutual friend and began dating after Thomas slid into her DMs. Sounds like the start of pretty much any relationship these days. They've been together for a year and as long as they're alone they claim everything's going great. USA Network's website claims that Thomas is an investment trader, but that was more than seven years ago. Since acting seems to be Thomas' day job at the moment it will be interesting to see the line between fact and fiction on 'Temptation Island'. Chelsea Orcutt is also a professional actor and model and has starred in several commercials and music videos including Camila Cabelo song 'Liar'. She's also a singer and songwriter for the Indie pop rock band 'Like Crazy'. Chelsea also clearly knows a thing or two about romance because she has also graced the covers of romance novels.
So where's the problem?
Chelsea and Thomas seem to have a lot in common particularly professionally, so where's the problem? After all if there's no problem,then there's little scope for temptation right? In this case the problem seems to be the old green eyed monster. Apparently Chelsea struggles with jealousy when Thomas' flirtatious nature comes to the fore. Also, Thomas is open about his commitment issues. But instead of dealing with this dynamic one on one, the couple decided to put their fears to the test with lots of desirable singles on 'Temptation Island'. Not the kind of relationship pattern that's the best for jealousy, but hey, maybe there is something to be said for facing your fears. Chelsea in particular, tends to post a lot about following your feelings and intuition. So let's hope the intution that guided her to 'Temptation Island' has ended up serving the couple well.
Thomas has also been posting some rather philosophical statements of late which generally means either everything is going great in one's love life or not well at all!
Are Chelsea and Thomas still together?
So what are we to make of all these philosophical statements Chelsea and Thomas are making, now that we know all the issues that plague their relationship.The big question is have the couple's strengths ultimately trumped their problems. Were they ultimately able to withstand temptation? While it's still not completly clear as to whether they are still together, there are some hints on their social media pages.
Some followers and friends on social media may have let the cat out of the bag with their reactions, treating Chelsea and Thomas as very much a unit.
"WHAAAAT?! Y’all were on a TV SHOW!? 😲🤯," one of Thomas' follower who seems to know the couple said.
"I CAN’T BELIEVE IT I CAN’T WAIT TO WATCH YOU GUYS!" Another follower of Thomas on Instagram also clearly seemed excited for the couple.
The biggest giveaway however on what are Chelsea's future plans has been Chelsea's response to a commenter. Though to be fair these could be her plans with or without Thomas in the picture. "Get maried love one another, have childern love them, turn your back on all the social media BS", said one of Chelsea's followers on Instagram to which Chelsea emphatically replied, "Love this 🙏"
Well judging from Chelsea's response above it's clear that for her at least, a long and stable married life is on her wishlist. But will Thomas' social and flirtatious manner be something Chelsea can handle in the long haul?
If Chelsea and Thomas do manage to stay together after the wrap of Season 3 'Temptation Island', they'd be one of the very few success stories. Only eight of the couples highlighted on the last two seasons of 'Temptation Island' have stayed together - Season 1's Javen Butler and Shari Ligons and Karl Collins and Nicohl Tutewohl.
