NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Rep Elise Stefanik, the third-highest-ranking House Republican leader, has become involved in the significant New York civil trial concerning former President Donald Trump.

Stefanik is claiming that Judge Arthur Engoron, who is overseeing the trial, has exhibited "bias" and shown "peculiar behavior" in the courtroom.

In light of her apprehensions, Rep Stefanik submitted an ethics complaint against Judge Engoron on Friday morning, addressing the issue in a letter to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct.

Following this news, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X (formerly Twitter) and reported on Stefanik’s fury on Engoron.

Apparently, the internet supported Stefanik’s claims and brutally slammed Engoron on Hannity’s tweet.

Sean Hannity reports on Elise Stefanik’s formal complaint against Donald Trump judge bias

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity expressed his views on the matter by stating, "STEFANIK: 'This judge’s bizarre behavior has no place in our judicial system, where Judge Engoron is not honoring the defendant’s rights to due process and a fair trial.'"

Hannity’s tweet presented an article from his official website titled, “TELLING IT TO THE JUDGE: Stefanik Files Formal Complaint Over Trump Judge Bias.”

In the article, it was stated that Elise Stefanic has filed an ethics complaint against Donald Trump’s judge, Arthur Engoron for exhibiting ‘bias’ and ‘bizarre behavior’ in the courtroom.

She wrote in her letter, “I write today to express my serious concerns about the inappropriate bias and judicial intemperance shown by Judge Arthur F Engoron in New York’s lawsuit against President Donald J Trump and the Trump Organization.”

Stefanik continued, “This judge’s bizarre behavior has no place in our judicial system, where Judge Engoron is not honoring the defendant’s rights to due process and a fair trial.”

“These serious concerns are exacerbated by the fact that the defendant is the leading candidate for President of the United States, and it appears the judicial system is being politicized to affect the outcome of the campaign,” the letter added.

This development occurred following the landmark trial, which focuses on accusations that the Trump Organization and its senior executives intentionally misrepresented the value of several real estate assets over the years.

The trial has featured testimonies from former President Donald Trump and his three adult children in a downtown New York City courtroom this month.

The civil case, brought by New York State Attorney General Letitia James, is currently in a non-jury trial in Judge Arthur Engoron's court.

Throughout the proceedings, allies of former President Trump have accused Judge Engoron of displaying bias, pointing to instances such as his smiling when cameras were permitted into the courtroom during the trial's initial moments.

Rep Stefanik, in her Friday letter, pointed to incidents like Judge Engoron's reported bias, including smiling during the trial's start, and highlighted the limited gag order imposed on Trump and his legal team due to threats against the judge and his staff.

She said, “Judge Engoron has gone on to gag and fine President Trump for merely criticizing Judge Engoron’s law clerk, which is core political speech protected by the First Amendment.”

"If anyone in America must have the constitutional right to speak out against the judge, his staff, the witnesses, or the process, it’s a defendant going through a process he believes is politicized and weaponized against him,” Stefanik concluded in the letter.

Internet troll Donald Trump's judge after Elise Stefanik’s complaint

Following Sean Hannity's coverage of Elise Stefanik's formal complaint against Judge Engoron for "biased" behavior in Donald Trump's case, the internet rallied behind the Republican representative, with many criticizing Judge Engoron.

One person wrote, “I’d like to see him hold his breath for 48 hours. That would be super cool.”

Another said, “If we’re honest, the context of this trial aside, this judge does look exactly like every pedo combined and that’s gotta mean something.”

An X user simply called out Engoron adding, “Engoron has got to be one of the creepiest and biased 'judges' I’ve EVER seen. Things NIGHTMARES are made of!!”

One person supported Stefanik saying, “I AGREE,” while anothersaid, “FIRE HIM????”

One more took a brutal jab at the judge, “Both the Judge and the AG should be removed from office and forever disbarred so that they can never do this to another citizen.”

“Probably looking for a TV show of his own. definitely Hollywood material,” said another.
