'SEAL Team' Season 3 Episode 18 Preview: Can Ray keep Jason sane after Clay's exit in 'Edge of Nowhere'?
'SEAL Team' ended on a somber note last week with trouble in Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) and Clay Spenser's (Max Thieriot) friendship. It started when the latter said that he had accepted Captain Lindell's (Jamie McShane) offer.
In a new promo, the narration goes, "The massacre was only the beginning," and is followed by, "The war is not over. This country is about to explode." Throughout the 20-second clip, Ray Perry (Neil Brown Jr) can be seen by Jason's side. Moreover, Clay says, "I need a medic." What does that mean? Will he realize he needs to be back to the Bravo Team?
Titled 'Edge of Nowhere', the official summary of the episode reads: "Bravo Team searches for a new terrorist group leader who is orchestrating violent resistance to peace negotiations in Afghanistan; Clay learns what it means to be a leader; Sonny works to repair his relationship with his father in Texas."
As the episode returns, one question at the back of all viewers minds' is: Will Jason be able to keep a clear mind after Clay's exit?
"Jason needs help he’s one of those people that needs the army he doesn’t know what to do but kick down doors an he’s mad cause his team has other aspirations," one fan wrote.
One posted, "Was that clay who said, I need a medic... is he coming back... will have to wait for 2 weeks. Too bad, the last 2 or 3 episodes got canceled due to COVID-19." Another said, "Jason and Sonny's anger at Clay is not right. He's not betraying them he's trying to fight for their future and for future team guys. It's irritating how they treat him. I'm kinda over Sonny these days. His behavior needs to change and they need to stop enabling him."
Another fan wrote, "I don't like Jason, he is a hypocrite and a coward. He's a great soldier, but he doesn't know how to be a real man. And that will get him killed." Many are also wondering if Ray will stand by his side and if Sonny Quinn (AJ Buckley) will mend his bond with his father, Emmet (John Savage).
The show is on a break for now and will return next Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 9 pm on CBS.
