Spoiler alert for 'Schitt's Creek' Season 6 Episode 9 'Rebound'

As much as we had hoped otherwise, Alexis Rose (Annie Murphy) and Ted Mullens (Dustin Milligan) have parted ways. In the previous episode of the Pop TV series, Ted returned to Schitt's Creek for what was supposed to be a long weekend to talk to Alexis about working at least three years at the Galapagos Islands.

However, after a series of unfortunate accidents, Ted and Alexis barely had any time together to discuss the new turn that could have been. And so, figuring out that it was best for both of them to part ways, they decided to call it quits while maintaining their gratitude of having met each other.

With their relationship finally over at the hands of a bittersweet breakup, 'Rebound' could not be more self-explanatory. In the upcoming episode, Alexis is approaching her romantic life with no strings attached.

The breakup with Ted was intense and there is no way that Alexis could possibly go out there and get attached to someone new. However, as far as rebounds go, this breakup might not be all that similar to her previous rebounds — for one: Alexis has her complete support system close to her.

Maybe things will be different this time around. According to the official synopsis, "Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy) becomes overly involved in Alexis' romantic life, making an already difficult time worse for Alexis". This suggests that her family might be getting involved.

Elsewhere, Moira Rose (Catherine O'Hara) discovers her car covered in eggs and then finds out that she had offended the townspeople by disparaging Schitt's Creek in an interview with People magazine.

Moira has had a love-hate relationship with the town, but only this time, she is soaring high on the success of her latest 'Crows' movie, which could directly affect Schitt's Creek's popularity. How will she make amends?

'Schitt's Creek' airs on Pop TV on Tuesdays at 9/ 8c.
