'Saturday Night Live' Season 46 Episode 14 Spoilers: Nick Jonas to debut as host and perform single 'Spaceman'
‘Saturday Night Live’ aka SNL is one of the most popular sketch shows on the small screen where time and again we see one of the hottest stars taking over as the host along with a musical guest with an intention to entertain the audience. For Episode 14 of season 46, the show has roped in singer and actor Nick Jonas.
Interestingly, Nick will be pulling up double duty as not only he will be hosting the comedy sketch show but also performing his newly-announced single. There will be no other musical guest in this episode. Also, this is the first time when the ‘The Voice’ coach will be hosting SNL. For the unversed, ‘Bridgerton’ star Rege-Jean Page is hosting this week’s SNL with Bad Bunny as the musical guest.

What's going to be special in Nick Jonas’s episode?
The 28-year-old crooner took to his Instagram account to share the big news just like how everyone announces their respective SNL gig. The Jonas Brothers’ member shared the typical “sticky notes” picture which had his name as a host and as a musical guest along with the date of the episode i.e. February 27, 2021. In the caption, the singer revealed it was dream come true for him. “A dream come true. Let’s get it @nbcsnl!! See you February 27th!”
This is a great time in his career as he is also set to return as ‘The Voice’ coach on Season 20 which premieres on March 1, 2021, on NBC. Nick last appeared on SNL in 2019 where he had reunited with his brothers Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas to perform as the Jonas Brothers. It marked a decade since they had previously been the musical guests on the show. Apart from this, Nick also performed as a solo artist in a 2016 episode hosted by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

What to expect?
‘Saturday Night Live’ is known for its slapstick comedy and sharp commentary on the latest issues but with a funny twist. SNL is also famous for its comedy sketches, which often parody contemporary culture and politics. In Episode 14 of Season 46, we can expect a rib-tickling opening monologue from Nick. We might also see him in a comedy sketch showing his exceptional acting skills. Speaking of his musical performance, according to multiple reports, Nick will be performing his newly-announced single called ‘Spaceman’ which drops only two days prior to the show i.e. February 25. Nick also shared a poster and a teaser for the same with his 30 million followers on the photo-sharing app.
