'Crown Lake' is set in an elite boarding school in the 1990s, according to reports. The ensemble cast will feature Francesca Capaldi (of 'Dog with a Blog' fame), Kyla-Drew ('Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn') and Emily Skinner ('Andi Mack').

Lilia Buckingham from 'Dirt', Brat’s original series, will be narrating and co-producing 'Crown Lake.' Ollie Waters, Glory Curda, Sophia Lucia and Lucas Stadvec are also a part of the cast. The 'Pretty Little Liars' author is producing 'Crown Lake', which true to all Brat series is written by the streaming service's writers room under the purview of co-founder Rob Fishman.

"Brat has really tapped into what teens watch, and how they watch TV,” Shepard was reported saying. “It was thrilling to help create a new world of intrigue, drama and mystery for this generation of viewers."

In a span of three months from January to March, more than 11 million viewers tuned in to the streaming service's original series, which focuses on teen demos. Brat's YouTube channel recently surpassed 3 million subscribers. 'Crown Lake' is all set to join the summer programming slate, which already includes season 3 of 'A Girl Named Jo' and season 4 of 'Mani' along with a summer movie for August.
