SAG Awards 2023 Winners List: 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' creates history, Brendan Fraser wins Best Actor
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 29th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held on Sunday, February 26, at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California, and ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ ruled the night with big wins at the star-studded ceremony. The movie went on to win the biggest award of the night, Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and became the frontrunner for winning the Best Picture accolade at the 95th Academy Awards that will take place in March 2023.
Michelle Yeoh won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her role in the aforementioned movie while Ke Huy Quan continued her golden run with the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role win, making him the first Asian actor to win the award in the Supporting Actor category. On the other hand, Jamie Lee Curtis won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role during tonight’s ceremony.

Taking turns to speak while accepting the Ensemble award, the cast members celebrated the win with a lot of emotions and thanked everyone who supported them while making the film. “While we were individually performing, we were also connected and supporting each other as a family at the same time,” Quan said while accepting the award.
The movie won in all the categories that it was nominated for.
Meanwhile, Brendan Fraser tearfully accepted the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for ‘The Whale’. Fraser edged past fellow nominees including Austin Butler (‘Elvis’), Colin Farrell (‘The Banshees of Inisherin’), Bill Nighy (‘Living), and Adam Sandler (‘Hustle’).
On the Television side, ‘The White Lotus’ won two awards, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Jennifer Coolidge took home Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series.
‘Abbott Elementary’ took home the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series trophy while Jean Hacks received the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series accolade.
