LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 80th annual Golden Globes are finally here and it’s Ke Huy Quan who takes home the first prize of the night in the form of Best Supporting Actor (Motion Picture) for his impeccable performance in the sci-fi movie ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’. After appearing in the 2001 movie ‘Second Time Around’, the actor quit acting and became a stunt choreographer. However, after seeing the success of ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ in 2018, Quan decided to come back. At the time, the Daniels were looking to cast Warmond Wang in the movie ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ and saw Quan on Twitter. He auditioned for the part and received the role of Wang.

Quan received a lot of recognition for his role and received a lot of accolades this awards season. He already has won the same trophy from the Gotham Awards, National Society of Film Critics, Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and New York Film Critics Circle.

While accepting the award, Quan said, “When I started my career as a child actor in ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,’ I felt so very lucky to have been chosen. As I grew older, I started to wonder if that was it, if that was just luck. For so many years, I was afraid I had nothing more to offer. No matter what I did, I would never surpass what I achieved as a kid. Thankfully, more than 30 years later, two guys thought of me. Everything that has happened since has been unbelievable.” He also thanked Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert for giving him this role.
