Oscar awards nominated star Ryan Gosling has captivated global audiences and fans with some amazing performances in films like ‘The Notebook’, ‘Half Nelson’, ‘Lars and the Real Girl’, ‘Blue Valentine’, ‘All Good Things’, ‘Crazy Stupid Love’, ‘Drive’, ‘La La Land’ and so on. Even though his name always comes up for a variety of projects, one character we would want him to play is the Marvel character Richard Rider aka Nova.

However, there were also rumors that Gosling would be playing the iconic character that was supposed to appear in live-action soon.In a recent interview with the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast host Josh Horowitz, Gosling finally confirmed that his involvement in a live-action series project remains a speculation as of now. But the star did admit, that if he were to get the chance to play a superhero, he'd want to play Ghost Rider.

Nova is a fictional superhero appearing in iconic Marvel Comic books. The character which is a space-faring member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps, was created in 2011 by writer Jeph Loeb and artist Ed McGuinness.

Last year, there were reports that Marvel studios was in plans to make a series on Nova. It has now been revealed that the project will be a limited series for Disney+, similar to ‘Moon Knight’. Interestingly enough, the ‘Moon Knight’ writer Sabir Pirzada is attached to the Nova project, thus adding more authenticity and validation to that project being brought to life as a TV series.

Host Horowitz took to Twitter to share his chat with Gosling and how the star refuted to rumors of him playing Nova. “Next week my full chat w/Ryan Gosling for @MTVNews But for now, an honest to goodness EXCLUSIVE. Ryan and I chatted about the Nova rumors yesterday which he said aren’t true. BUT this morning Ryan reached out to me to say there is one superhero he wants to play...GHOST RIDER.”

While the news of Gosling not involved in any Nova project has certainly disappointed his fans, but his interest in ‘Ghost Rider’ has raised the curiosity among the audiences and fans alike.

A fan said: “RYAN AS GHOST RIDER WOULD BE BADASS FFS”, while another said: “The 'Drive' fan in me wants to see this happen”. “Just one step closer to my GHOST RIDERS pitch w Nic Cage & Ryan Gosling about a Rapture that brings the best racers in the world into the Underworld to compete in a series of races across the 9 Circles of Hell”, said another fan. “He'd be a very solid choice. "Drive" and "Blade Runner 2049" already proves he can play a character like Johnny Blaze”, a fan remarked. “I’m not inherently opposed to it, but he’d never be my first pick. I would be happy to give it a chance if it ever went that way, he’d probably surprise me, but I can’t see it right now. Ghost Rider is the one I need them to get right most for me”, one wrote.
