Spoilers for 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 12

Before Jaida Essence Hall could send the internet into a frenzy with her well-deserved win, 'RuPaul's Drag Race' host-mentor RuPaul Andre Charles took it by storm with his face mask. Even though this wasn't the first time the viewers had seen him with a mask on, they thought he could have opted for a better, more glamorous look since it was the finale.

RuPaul choosing to go for a bejeweled mask that hides most of her face except for her lips and surrounding areas and her eyes, has gotten fans talking. Most are speculating that it could be a facelift or a cosmetic procedure gone wrong that may have forced the TV star to resort to desperate measures. He has served some memorable drag looks over the years and it's quite unlikely of him to show up on a finale episode dressed vanilla. However, what was important was he got the job done. He had the viewers entertained with his perfect portrayal of a shade-throwing taskmaster and a gentle guide for the queens.

In all honesty, this face mask wasn't as severely criticized as the one from the reunion episode last week. It was a blue latex mask that had fans completely confused. While some called it a "facekini", there was a section that thought it was a "gimp mask", one that is used in BDSM activities. "ANOTHER Mask!?! At least Ru bedazzled it this time I guess... Can we talk about how you can tell how swollen / bruised he is from his facelift? #justsaying #DragRaceFinale #RuPaulsDragRace #DragRace," a fan commented, while another shared: "Wow it would be so much better if they would have waited ability to film REAL finale the queens deserved. Also Ru's facelift would be fully healed and no need for those masks #DragRace #RupaulsDragRace."

"Is Ru in a mask for the 2nd week in a row because she has no makeup team or bc she has work done?? #RuPaulsDragRace," a viewer asked. "So... the only acceptable reason for that mask is if he got some sort of burn from a bad face peel. #RuPaulsDragRace #RuPaul," another speculated. "Did Ru get plastic surgery or something?? Only reason whys she’s back in a mask  #RuPaulsDragRace (sic)," a user tweeted.
