There might be a deadly virus in the air in real life but on Hallmark, there's always 'Romance in the Air'. Chronicling the life of yet another woman whose only answers being sought on a journey of self-exploration are pertaining to love and relationships, the rom-com stars Cindy Busby and Torrance Coombs. 'Romance is in the Air' premieres on August 1 at 9 pm ET / 8 pm C only on Hallmark channel.
Plot
It's a classic girl goes back home, connects with roots and more story, with a minor inconvenience and dilemma in the middle of course. The official synopsis reveals: "After learning her job is on the line, Eden returns to Lake Tahoe where she used to spend her summers growing up. There she’s reunited with her childhood friend Riley and finds that the draw of her past might direct her future to happiness she’s been missing in her life.
Cast
Cindy Busby plays the main character Eden Clarke. The Canadian actress is best known for her role as Ashley Stanton on 'Heartland'. She will be seen in the TV movie 'The Wrong Stepmother' opposite Vivica A Fox and she will star as the lead in 'Web of Dreams'.
Torrance Coombs plays Riley Eden's lost flame. Known for playing Sebastian (Bash) in The CW's hit drama series 'Reign' and as Thomas Culpepper in Showtime’s Golden Globe-nominated series 'The Tudors', the Canadian actor also recurred as Declan on The CW’s 'The Originals'.
Sashleigha Brady stars as Kate, David Cleveland Brown as Michael and Tim Flynn plays Spencer.
Creator
Brian Brough is directing the film based on a script from Brittany Wiscombe. Brough is a producer and director known for 'Not Cinderella's Type' (2018), 'Matchmaker Christmas' (2019) and 'Timeless Love' (2019). Wiscombe is a writer and producer, who has worked with Brough on 'Timeless Love' before. She is also known for 'Snow Beast' (2011) and 'Austentatious' (2015).
