LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Role Play', an action comedy film, began streaming on Amazon Prime Video on January 12. Kaley Cuoco, known as Penny from 'The Big Bang Theory', plays a cold-blooded assassin alongside David Oyelowo as Dave Brackett, a clueless but loyal husband.

It's a perfect marriage for Emma and Dave on the surface, but beneath it, lies a deep secret of Emma. She is a professional assassin and chaos follows when her cover gets blown.

What is the plot of 'Role Play'?

Emma Brackett, portrayed by Kaley Cuoco, leads a seemingly ordinary suburban life with her family. Juggling her demanding job and family commitments, Emma finds herself caught in a web of unexpected events.

On their anniversary, she and her husband decide to reignite the spark in their relationship through a role-play scenario. However, Emma's covert life as a contract killer takes a dark turn when she encounters Bob Kellerman (Billy Nighy), leading to a fatal confrontation in a hotel room.

Faced with the aftermath, Emma decides to flee the country, leaving her husband Dave in the dark about her true identity. As the investigation unfolds, Dave discovers Emma's hidden life, marked by forged passports and a shocking revelation of her eight-year-long deception.

The narrative intensifies as Emma, now on the run, navigates a dangerous world, and her handler, Raj, meets a tragic end in a confrontation with the Sovereign.

'Role Play' ending explained

After several failed attempts, Dave is finally able to contact Emma. She confesses on the call and Dave decides to fly to Berlin and meet her.

Emma tells all about her past life including how her father worked as a Secret Service agent and then started his own private security company called 'Sovereign' along with agent Gwen Carver (Connie Nielsen), who is now leading her investigation.

She discloses that after her father was killed, Gwen raised and trained her. Initially believing they were the good guys, she severed ties with Gwen when her bubble burst. Subsequently, she collaborated with Raj, who offered protection in exchange for occasional assassinations to generate funds.

Emma and Dave's meeting is interrupted as Gwen Carver and her team show up after following Dave and capture them after a violent altercation.

Dealing with the brunt of a tranquilizer, Emma wakes up at an underground bunker in the middle of the forest. She finds out that Gwen has held her husband and children hostage.

Gwen tries to manipulate Emma into killing Dave (whom she believes is a distraction to Emma) and joining forces with her, just like in old times. She suggests that a decline in the offer would cause harm to her children.

Does Emma kill Dave?

Emma takes Dave into the forest where she is supposed to kill him. However, she comes up with a brilliant plan of taking her enemies down. She shoots her husband without causing any harm to his organs and then takes control of the situation.

While her husband rescues their children, she goes around to kill everyone. The end scene suggests that Emma takes Dave to the hospital and they hope for a happy life ahead.
