'Riverdale' Season 6 finally premiered with the much-anticipated Sabrina crossover episode and it revealed a major secret that most fans suspected all along. Is Chery Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) a witch? The final minutes of the episode pretty much hinted that she and her ancestors were witches and that also included Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) who, generations ago, was revealed to be a witch who possessed an innate knowledge of the dark arts.

The episode saw Kiernan Shipka's Sabrina finally make that appearance as a witch who would help send Nana Blossom's soul (Abigail Blossom) to the past where she could reunite with her lover, Thomasina (Morgan) after she was cursed for immortality by Fangs Fogarty (Drew Ray Tanner). Sabrina, a teen witch herself, was needed to help Cheryl to complete the spell that would break the curse.

In one of the scenes, Sabrina drops the word witch referring to Cheryl and Abigail (both played admirably well by Petsch) after she was introduced. With this, the series hints at a major secret that Cheryl was maybe a witch since the start of the series, but began exploring the other side of the wall only after the events of Season 5. The crossover episode was a must-watch for fans who said it was worth the 99-episode wait.

'Riverdale' airs Tuesday nights 9 PM ET on The CW.
