'RHOSLC': Mary Cosby praises Jennie Nguyen's 'slanted eyes', fans call her 'ignorant'

If you thought Mary Cosby would be more mindful and sensitive when it comes to making controversial remarks after her "Mexican thugs" comment, then you'd be wrong. The recently aired episode of 'Real Housewives of salt Lake City' featured the housewife in yet another foot-in-the-mouth moment when she ignorantly complimented her co-star Jennie Nguyen's "slanted eyes".

Jennie, who is the first Asian housewife of 'RHOSLC' wanted to showcase her culture to her fellow housewives so she hosted a Pho lunch for them. Mary showed up to the lunch wearing blonde hair. When the ladies noticed it they began complimenting Mary's hair and also praised how stunning Jennie looked when she wore a blonde wig herself. Lisa Barlow pulled up the picture of Jennie in a blonde wig and showed it off to the group. Even though all the ladies praised how beautiful Jennie looked, it was Mary's compliment that not only caught Jennie's attention but also fans'.

After seeing Jennie's picture, Mary commented that the wig looked great on her due to the "yellow tones" in her skin and praise her slanted eyes as well. Jennie was taken aback on hearing Mary's extremely inappropriate comment about her eyes but didn't say anything as she was the hostess of the lunch. In her confessional, the housewife however admitted that Mary would be on the ground if it was any other occasion and the housewife made such inappropriate comment.

Fans sided with Jennie and called out Mary. A fan tweeted, "Yellow tones”? “Slanted eyes”??? I’m outta here #RHOSLC." "So #MaryColeman hasn't learned from her racist comments huh? Really?
