If you thought Mary Cosby's remarks about avoiding visiting 7/11 stores if she spotted a Black person at the store was bad, then you might want to reconsider that. The 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' star once again managed to rile up not just her fellow housewives, but also the host Andy Cohen, and fans with her extremely ignorant and "colorist remarks", during the show's reunion.

Andy brought up the remarks Mary made during the reunion and asked her to explain why she felt that way. While discussing the topic of Black people, Mary casually made a statement about not being attracted to Black men. The housewife said she has "no taste for Black guys". Andy then asked her if she was drawn too White guys, to which Mary simply nodded.

Andy Cohen then proceeded to ask Mary the same question that most of us were thinking – isn't her husband, Robert Cosby Sr. a Black man himself. Mary shrugged off the question by saying that he was light-skinned and ignorantly called her husband "White". But Andy wasn't ready to let Mary off the hook so easily, so he pointed out how her remarks could be construed as racist.

The housewife once again doubled down on her stance by making it clear that she was attracted only to light-skinned or White men. She also acknowledged that some of her statements might be misconstrued, so she added that she had nothing against dark-skinned people, and believed that every shade of Black was beautiful.

Unfortunately, fans were already seething with rage at Mary by then and weren't ready to accept her consolatory remarks about all skin tones being beautiful. Many fans pointed out how despite being a Black woman married to a Black man, Mary seemed to harbor some rather strong prejudices towards melanin-rich skin tones. A fan tweeted, "My taste is not for Black guys” -Mary A Black woman married to her Black Step Grandfather with whom she has a Black son #RHOSLC." Another fan wrote, "Mary: I don’t like black guys. I love all black guys. My black husband is White. Me trying to decipher what the hell she’s saying: #RHOSLC." "Wait did Mary say she doesn’t prefer black men when she’s married to a black man?! #rhoslc," commented a puzzled fan.

Fans also began demanding for Mary to be removed from the show after hearing her thoughts and feelings towards Black people. A fan shared, "During one of the most bizarre reality TV moments ever, Mary who's a black woman married to her grandma's black ex-husband, just strangely called him White while trying to justify her clear dislike — for "black men who aren't light". @Andy, no season 2 for her." "Imagine degrading black men on black history month. Talking about how you’re scared of them at gas stations and then bringing up how you think dark skin is unattractive. Mary is sick. Sick! #RHOSLC," declared a fan. "Now Mary’s husband is White and Kelly Dodd is black. The racial identity information that has been coming out at reunions recently is very confusing. #RHOSLC #RHOC," pointed a fan.
