NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Candiace Dillard-Bassett and Gizelle Bryant caused a stir among fans during season 7 of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac' with their confrontation revolving around allegations against Candiace's husband, Chris Bassett.

During the Season 8 Reunion, Gizelle found herself in the hot seat over the same issue, and the fallout was so intense that fans clamored for her removal from the show.

Fans of the show will remember the season-long controversy surrounding allegations that Chris made Gizelle uncomfortable by escorting her to a private conversation during the taping of the season six reunion.

Candiace accused both of the fair-skinned falsifiers of attempting to intentionally harm her husband's image while concealing information about their own lives.

Candiace and Gizelle's conflict continued at the Sunday, March 31 Reunion, with Gizelle confronting the "Drive Back" singer for badmouthing her on social media. Candiace answered to the name-calling resulting from Gizelle's conduct.

During one of Season 8's confessional moments, Gizelle continued to argue that Chris "made" her go to his hotel room. Despite Gizelle's denial of ever stating on camera that Chris "made" her go to his hotel room, hinting at the possibility instead, producers quickly inserted one of her earlier confessional tapes to prove her wrong.

Gizelle says in the confessional, "Your husband made me feel uncomfortable because he made me go into a bedroom and close the door. That is what happened!"

However, during the Season 8 Reunion, Gizelle retracted her story and claimed that it wasn't what happened nor what she remembered mentioning in the confessionals. This revelation left fans furious, with many demanding her removal from the show.

On X, fans slammed the 'RHOP' star writing, "Gizelle’s story about Chris changed multiple times - that woman is dangerous and operates like a Karen idc idc." Another user chimed in, "Candiace is really being made to be the villain after Gizelle spent allll season saying Chris tried make her go in a room alone. I can’t!"

Another wrote, "Andy likes to play the semantics game but when one of those other housewives alleged that he “made them” do something at some dinner party, he was quick to come forward and clear that shit up. Somehow it’s different with Gizelle and Chris though! Funny that!"

One fan mentioned, "It’s insulting to all of our intelligence that they let Gizelle sit on that couch and blantantly lie. She said literally said she was made by Chris on the first episode but let her get away lying about not saying she was forced."

Some called out the 'RHOP' star for their lie saying, "GIZELLE LIED AND SAID CHRIS RUBBED SESAME STREET’S BUTT!!! THAT IS SEXUAL ASSAULT!!! PERIOD!!!"

One user backed Candiace writing, "I think Candiace’s issue is Gizelle knew what those implications would do to Chris/Candiace. The malicious intent was clear. To me, that’s unforgivable & I think that’s where Candiace is at. Damage that can’t be undone. No apology between them will change it."

One wrote, "Gizelle has declassed tf outta this show with her low vibrational behavior. She brings nothing to Potomac and I’m tired of her wreaking havoc on other people’s lives while showing us .01% of hers! It’s time for her to go!" Another added, "This reunion is hard to watch. Giselle has got to go. It’s gross."

Candiace Dillard Bassett confronted with NSFW rumor about husband Chris Bassett

During part one of the Bravo series' season eight reunion, Candiace was confronted with a disturbing claim about her husband, Chris.

When host Andy Cohen asked Candiace whether she was liking social media comments criticizing her costar, Gizelle, she admitted, "I have liked some tweets," but added, "It's no different than her going on her podcast and talking about me laughing and joking and adding sauce to a rumor."

What about the rumor in question? An alleged NSFW photo of Chris has surfaced online.

Robyn Dixon asked, "So the screenshots are photoshopped?" to which Candiace responded, "I don't know what screenshots you're talking about." Robyn then suggests that Chris may have had improper conversations with other women. "The screenshots of your husband's limp penis," Robyn says in response, "and the multiple voice memos they have exchanged back and forth?"

Chris Bassett hits back at trolls attacking 'RHOP's Candiace Dillard over ‘light-skinned’ babies comments

Candiace's most recent controversy arose when she expressed concern about the possibility of having "light-skinned" offspring, catching everyone off guard.

Viewers are familiar with her husband's appearance, and the couple has openly discussed their desire to have children on 'RHOP'. To defend his wife, Chris called into the 'Way Up With Angela Yee' radio show, where Candiace currently serves as a guest host.

He stated he didn't understand why everyone was so taken aback by his wife's statements and attempted to provide context to what she was trying to convey.

"I don’t know why everybody is so angry right now. My Twitter is blowing up," Chris revealed. "Candiace and I have had this conversation since, probably, the day we met," he added. "People can have their preferences."

During the phone call, Chris mentioned that he and Candiace had been joking about their skin color preferences for years. He stated that his wife is fully aware that "she's not getting dark-skinned babies." Chris clarified that it is not "scientifically possible."

According to Chris, there is no cause for anyone to be upset over Candiace's words. He claimed he doesn't see why people are unhappy. He likened her statement about not wanting her children to have a specific skin hue to his wish for his children to have "luscious, thick hair."

Chris added, "I started going bald at eighteen. Is it bad for me to say that I want my kids to have hair?"
