'Real Housewives of New Jersey' preview: Jackie's father makes insensitive comments about her weight while Teresa and family have an emotional Easter
‘RHONJ’ housewife Jackie Goldschneider has been very vocal about her battle with eating disorders. The sneak-peek clip for the upcoming episode might throw light on what pushed the beautiful housewife down a dangerous path. The housewives are busy celebrating Easter with their families, and we see Jackie’s father and her watching old tapes of her. Jackie appears a bit heavy in one of the shots from her younger days. Her father looks at her and points out that she’s a “good inspiration for kids who are heavy”. The housewife then reminds her father that she “almost died” losing weight. He immediately responds saying “look at you now, it’s almost worth it”, while Jackie looks appalled at her father’s insensitive remarks. We sincerely hope that he was just joking.
Speaking of Easter, Teresa and her girls struggle to celebrate the festival without Joe Giudice. We see Joe Gorga explaining to his sister and nieces about the terrible situation that Joe got himself into saying, “he’s deteriorating”. In the previous episode, we learned that Joe’s appeal got rejected, and the chances of him being allowed to continue living in the USA are very slim. We hear Gia saying that she doesn’t want to be “selfish” but isn’t sure if she’s ready to let go of her father.
While the Giudices are having an emotional Easter, the Catanias don’t seem to be having the best time either. Dolores’s family members try pressurizing her boyfriend David into taking the next step with Dolores. While he politely asks them to hold their horses until the house is done, the family doesn’t seem keen to take no for an answer and continue pressing him, while he looked visibly uncomfortable.
