'Real Housewives of Dallas' star D'Andra Simmons has embarked on a journey to embrace her feminine side and get more in touch with her emotions. She reached out to a shaman to help her on her journey. In an earlier episode of 'RHOD', we were introduced to her shaman, Darrin Davis. We saw him encourage D'Andra to reach out to her estranged family members and mend the broken relations. Back then, everybody was intrigued by him and wanted to know more about this shaman who was rocking mutton chop hairstyle and sideburns.

Her fellow housewives too were a bit curious to know about D'Andra's spiritual journey. So the housewife arranged for a meeting with the shaman for all her co-stars, as part of her "Medicine Monday" party. This is when we finally got to learn some interesting tidbits about the housewife's shaman.

On the latest episode of 'RHOD', it was revealed that Darrin used to be Stephanie Hollman's hairstylist who did her hair extensions. The housewife explained that he did her hair for three years, and during that time he used to passionately speak about Peru and spirituality. But Stephanie was quite hesitant to let her former hairstylist try to fix her chakras, and work on her spirituality.

Stephanie doesn't seem to be the only one who is hesitant about Darrin. When D'Andra mentioned that he used to be a hairstylist and a makeup artist, Tiffany Moon too was amused. Tiffany joked about getting a bulk discount from Darrin for booking him for doing her hair and makeup, while also cleansing her internally. 

Who is Darrin Davis?

During an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen', when the host asked D'Andra if Darrin was a licensed shaman, the housewife replied that she didn't know. D'Andra said, "I don’t even know if there’s a license for a shaman. That’s a trick question! I’m sorry." The housewife might not completely be aware of her shaman's professional credentials, but she has reportedly known him for over two decades. She shared, "I’ve known him for over 20 years. He actually is also a hairstylist that kind of moonlights as a shaman. He used to do my hair and makeup when I was a model over 20 years ago.” 

Darrin's Instagram bio too mentions his hairstyling experience. "Spiritual guide, meditation, Quest Peru transformational journeys, Pachaya rapaé, hair extension aficionado, Dalpaca Conscious Fur, dancing adventurer," he wrote in his bio. Aside from 'RHOD', Darrin revealed on his Insta page that he shot a scene for a documentary following a former NFL player on his journey to Mexico to work with plant medicines. Darrin also shared that he has five scenes on 'RHOD'. "I have no idea how Bravo editors will make me look or what they’ll show. But I guess that’s reality TV ! 😝," he wrote. 

When fans learned that Darrin used to be Stephanie's hairstylist, they were beyond amused. A fan wrote, "D’Andra’s Shaman also used to do Stephanie’s hair extensions?? This is the biggest character twist all season long #RHOD." Another fan tweeted, "A shaman who does extensions! Haha @Andy @dandrasimmons @BravoTV @BravoWWHL #wwhl #rhod." One more said, "D’Andra’s shaman used to be Stephanie’s hairdresser?!? Now, THAT’s a plot-twist. He used to do extensions- and is NOW doing chakras! #RHOD."

Many fans also felt that Darrin was a scamster. A fan commented, "Sooo the Shaman is a scamman right? #RHOD @BravoTV." Another said, "Omgggg I am dead. @dandrasimmons shaman did @stephhollman weave Girl you’re being scammed! #RHOD." One more fan said, "@bravowtf the shaman has to google what he was singing?FRAUD lol #rhod."
