Ever since Kelly Dodd was first introduced on Bravo's hit reality franchise 'Real Housewives of Orange County', the housewife never shied away from showing off her lavish and extravagant lifestyle.

With a net worth of a whopping $10 million, we can't really blame her for having a taste for finer things in life. But how exactly did Kelly manage to amass such a tidy net worth? In case, you're wondering the same, then read on.

Prior to her whirlwind romance and marriage to FOX News broadcaster, Rick Leventhal, the reality star was married to Michael Dodd and was a stay-at-home mom. Michael was the COO and president of a highly successful educational entertainment company called LeapFrog when the couple were married. They had an estranged relationship much before she joined the reality show, but they reconciled after she became a cast member in 2011. However, their reconciliation didn't last too long as she filed for divorce in 2012. But the couple made multiple attempts to reconcile before they officially announced their divorce in 2017.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Kelly and Michael sold their four-bedroom Newport Beach mansion for $5 million. Following the divorce, it took Kelly some time to embrace her new life as a single, but her daughter, Jolie was absolutely thrilled with it.

She shared in an interview with Glamour, "I always thought I needed somebody, and I really learned a lot about myself. I learned that I have more confidence than I did before. I was like, 'Wow, I don't have to fight anymore. I don't have to deal with this person anymore. I don't have to, like, have sex with him!''"

She added, "I'm happier, my daughter's happier. She tells all her friends she likes her parents not being married. Now her friends' parents are splitting up, so she's giving advice to the other kids: 'Hey, listen, it's not so bad. It's actually better. It's quiet in the house. There's no tension.'"

Eventually, Kelly met Rick Leventhal, and the couple got married in October 2020.

Aside from her hefty divorce settlement, Kelly's other sources of income include her paycheque from 'RHOC'. Although the exact salary of the housewife for her current season hasn't been revealed, the housewife is reportedly the second-highest paid housewife of the franchise, behind Shannon Beador.

She also recently dipped her foot in the entrepreneurial world, after she became a part-owner of Positive Beverage. According to its website, Positive Beverage is more than just regular water. The beverage promises to contain a “perfect combination of vitamins, calcium and electrolytes along with natural flavors while remaining free of artificial colors and sweeteners.”

With all these various streams of income, Kelly has nothing to worry about when it comes to finances.

'Real Housewives of Orange County' Season 15 airs every Wednesday at 9/8c only on Bravo.
