'RHOBH' Season 12 Reunion: Andy Cohen condemns 'online attacks' against cast, fans disapprove

Andy declared that Bravo and he unequivocally condemn the attack against Garcelle's son and other 'RHOBH' cast members

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: The highly anticipated season 12 reunion of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' kicked off with host Andy Cohen addressing the vicious cyber-attack that Garcelle Beauvais' 14-year-old son was subject to. After displaying a montage of some of the offensive and racist messages and comments that Garcelle's son received on-screen, Andy declared that Bravo and he unequivocally condemn the attack against Garcelle's son and other 'RHOBH' cast members. He also urged the audience to continue loving or hating the cast but to do it in the spirit of entertainment.

While Andy believed he was sending out a strong message against cyber-bullying, unfortunately for him, the Bravo show's fans interpreted his message as him "chastising" the audience instead of actually investigating who was behind the bot attacks and monitoring the social media activity of some of the cast members. Many fans echoed Garcelle's suspicions about a 'RHOBH' housewife being behind the bot attack.

A fan tweeted, "Andy F-off don’t chastise your fans. You know damn well it was women from the cast that hired those bot attacks on Garcelle’s kids. #RHOBHMeanGirls #RHOBH." "@Andy I am glad you condemn hatred to the cast in social media. I hope you show the same commendation to the cast members that display the vile, nasty, venom that has been on the show this year and for many others by not subjecting viewers to their presence anymore. #RHOBH," wrote a fan. "To add: it sounded like Andy was scolding the audience as if the things we’re saying to the cast members are unprovoked. I DO NOT condone racism/death threats but some of these HWs have been hateful on their own accounts. #RHOBH #RHOBHReunion," elaborated a fan.

Another fan shared, "#RHOBH it’s odd how they breezed over the RACISM that happened online and also wrapped in the “attacks” on all of the cast and just made a blanket statement condemning general attacks on THE CAST." "@Andy @BravoTV if you so unequivocally condemn the vile things on social media toward the cast- why r you supporting by employing the vile things that come out of Rinna & Erika’s mouth. The things that aren’t aired or on social media from them are 1000% worse. #rhobh," pointed out a fan. "It's hard to take Andy's statement on condemning hate on social media seriously when one of the cast member has use the platform to spread nothing but hate and negativity. #RHOBHReunion #RHOBH," seconded a fan. "What’s wild is that Bravo is condemning what happened when it was potentially someone on the cast that purchased the bots. The call is coming from inside the house. #RHOBH," declared a fan.
