LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ex-Real Housewives star Denise Richards recently shared heartbreaking news with her fans and followers on social media on Saturday, December 24. The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star took to her Instagram account to announce the tragic death of her beloved pooch George on Christmas eve.
George was with Denise and her family for over 15 years before his death, and the star posted pictures of the Chihuahua mix with a heartbreaking message about his death. Posting close-up photos of George looking lively, sleeping, and hugging Denise’s sister Michelle Richards’s hairless cat, the ‘RHOBH’ alum wrote, “George our hearts are broken 💔 You were with us for 15 yrs (years). Everyone loved you & anyone that met you with your sweet & fiesty personality you turned everyone into the biggest chihuahua lover,” as she announced to her Instagram followers that her beloved pup had died.

The actress continued to write, “You ruled our home & snoozed with us every night. The only thing helping me is knowing you're with all your buds & Nana.” Denise also noted how much she appreciated George for helping her cope with her grandmother’s death and expressed that she missed him intensely. She added, “Especially since you were there for us helping get through the loss of her. I'm so so sad Georgie I love you so so much & will miss you so much.” Stating that she loved her “furry son” and “best friend,” Denise ended her heartbreaking message by writing, “Thank you for blessing us with you being our furry son, sibling, & best friend to many. I love you my George. ❤️🐾”
Many friends and followers were quick to send their condolences to Denise. Actress Rena Sofer wrote in the comments section of the Instagram post, "Im so sorry for your loss!! All my love to you my friend!" sending her well wishes. Even Dina Cantin responded with: "Sending so much love. The worst pain ever because they’re so pure and innocent. 😩" Camille Meyer also expressed her support and commented, "So sorry for your loss. 😢🐶💔"
George was known to be Denise’s “mega mama’s boy” and would often be found snoozing within the bed sheets, sometimes getting lost under them. George even used to have a similar-sized friend, a Yorkie named Marvin, who also died before Christmas at 23 years old. George and Marvin were not the ‘RHOBH’ alum’s only pets, the actress is known to be an animal lover and for having several pets, from horses to pigs. The list includes her brood of dogs, Rose, Lulu, Sara, Hank, Tina, and Lucy, to name a few. Denise's other pets include a horse, a cat, and a pig. According to reports, all of her pets reside peacefully on her beachfront property in Malibu.
