'RHOA' Spoilers: Does Porsha Williams have daddy issues? Housewife opens up about growing up without a father
Dennis McKinley may not have been the best partner for Porsha Williams, but he definitely is a great father to their daughter Pilar Jhena. Porsha and Dennis tried to make their relationship work, but his constant infidelity led to their split. Although Porsha forgave him in the past and took him back, this time around she's sure about just wanting to co-parent with him, and not pursue anything else.
In the preview clip released by Bravo for the upcoming episode of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta', we see the housewife discussing divorce and absentee fathers with her mother and sister. Porsha applauds her mother and sister for busting the popular belief that children from broken homes or divorcee parents are traumatized for life. She praises her mother and sister for never letting her feel that way. She then proceeds to discuss the impact of her father's absence on her life.
The housewife admits that she might occasionally joke about having daddy issues, but that's far from the truth. Porsha explains that she was fine growing up without her father, but things changed when she entered her teenage years and began dating. She shares how she only had a "skeletal structure" of what a man should be like and how relationships are supposed to work, based on what she observed from her parents. That. unfortunately, led to the housewife getting into some of the most toxic and abusive relationships in the past.
Porsha then proceeds to explain how although she might not be able to make her relationship with Dennis work, she has no doubts about him being a strong father figure for their daughter. The housewife then candidly begins to explain that she knew what she was getting into when she picked Dennis and was more than happy to go ahead with it. Porsha ends up leaving her sister in splits and her mother embarrassed when she begins to explain how exactly she got pregnant with Dennis.
While Porsha may have worked out things with Dennis, unfortunately, the tension between Kenya Moore and her still remains. The previous episode featured Kenya getting uninvited by Porsha's sister to a party for Porsha. The former beauty queen didn't take it too well and was upset over it. However, she sent the gift she picked out for Pilar to Porsha.
In the upcoming episode, both the housewives will be crossing paths at a surprise party that Kenya is throwing for Cynthia Bailey. At the party, Kenya can be seen asking Porsha if she received the gift. The housewife thanks Kenya and acknowledges her for the thoughtful present. Kenya makes a snide remark about how it would have been nicer had she been able to present it in person. Sensing a bubbling tension between the ladies, Kandi Burruss calls for a time out. We will just have to watch the upcoming episode to see how it all plays out between Porsha and Kenya.
