Former ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Claudia Jordan managed to ruffle quite many feathers when she put up an Instagram post calling out Bravo and ‘Real Housewives of Dallas' franchise for having “no women of color” on the show. The star eventually took down the post, but before she did,  she got into a war of words with none other than ‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ housewife Kary Brittingham.

The former Miss USA took to her Instagram to express her disappointment with ‘RHOD’ franchise for not having any women of color on the show, and suggested they include one to improve the ratings, and cited ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ as an example. She wrote, “And STILL no women of color.... Dallas come on now. There are soooo many beautiful, fun, cool wealthy women of considered for this show and still nothing. It didn't have to me-but PLEASE consider representing better. The rating would surely be affected IN a positive way. Look how Atlanta continues to have the highest ratings.... bring the needed spice."

New housewife Kary seems to have taken great offense to Claudia’s post, and commented on Claudia’s post revealing that Claudia auditioned to be on ‘RHOD’, and suggested that Claudia might be bitter over not scoring the gig. Kary wrote, “@claudiajordan you did try out and I was actually hoping you would come on the show, but I could make the same argument about many other shows including Atlanta that they don’t have latinas!!!!! Are you implying that only black people count as diversity????? Or only black people have spice?????"

Kary’s last sentence about Claudia considering only “black people as spice” irked Claudia, who clapped back at the Latina housewife for misunderstanding her original post.  @karybritt wow I’m surprised you said that. Ok so let’s discuss it. You’re right I DID have one Skype interview for the show right before I signed my contract for my new show in LA- so I knew it wasn’t going to happen for me-so please don’t make this into a sour grapes thing. I know what y’all get paid and I’m quite ok with my talk show salary- no shade- but I want to make this clear THIS AINT ABOUT ME- ok I knew they were also talking to @Nicolebarrettofficial who is engaged to someone who’s so Texas it’d make for a great story line. I think you missed my entire point."

She further said, "I think the shows should reflect the demographic of the CITY they are portraying. Atlanta is a very predominantly black city hence the black cast but yet they still made sure to make an effort to have a white woman on the show for years- which worked." The former housewife also pointed out how despite Kary being on the show, the ‘RHOD’ cast is predominantly white.

Amidst the two housewives feuding, a fan commented on the since-deleted post asking Claudia about Kary. Before Claudia could reply Kary responded to the comment saying, “Guess she only thinks of diversity if its her race.”

Although Claudia may have taken down the post, she has opened an important discussion about how the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise is predominantly filled with white women and there aren’t enough women of other races. In-fact, the upcoming Season 12 of ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ will be featuring its first black housewife in the show’s history.

‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Season 12 airs every Sunday, at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo.
