'Renovation 911' 2023: Who is Lindsey Uselding? Meet the entrepreneur who was once rejected for Target internship
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Following the success of 'Renovation, Inc' and 'Renovation Island', HGTV is all set to return with another home restoration show titled 'Renovation 911'. The upcoming series will feature a pair of dynamic sisters -- Lindsey Uselding and Kirsten Meehan -- as they embark on a journey to rescue homes destroyed by natural disasters.
'Renovation 911' is slated to premiere on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 9 pm ET. The HGTV series, which is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, promises that the sisters will bring expertise and humor to difficult situations. Lindsey is one half of the emergency rescue team and is also the co-founder of Practical Home with her sister. Who is Lindsey Uselding?
Lindsey is a contractor and entrepreneur who was born and raised in Edina, Minnesota, by her loving parents. She is the vice president and owner of Ungerman Inc. She began as a Business Operation Manager in August 2013 and remained in that position until March 2017 in Plymouth, Minnesota. Before that, she worked at Target, holding various positions such as Store Director and Executive Team Leader.
Lindsey is married to Nate Uselding, a second-grade teacher, and has two daughters with him. Lindsey finished her schooling at a private high school and went on to study BBA in Human Resources, Management, followed by Marketing from the Univerisity of Wisconsin-Madison.
Lindsey has never turned down a challenge; not even when her guidance counselor told her she couldn't get into UW-Madison, not when the Badger dance team said freshmen weren't allowed on the squad, and certainly not when Target, where she'd end up working for more than a decade, rejected her for an internship.
During her youth, Lindsey had two passions -- dance and academics, but visiting job sites was as common as dance recitals and she grew up surrounded by people who made her family business what it is today. Lindsey is also a philanthropist at heart as she is very active in helping her community and is associated with several charities like Feed My Children and Ronald McDonald House charity.
Lindsey Uselding on 'Renovation 911'
Since Lindsey left her corporate job at Target to work at Ungerman, the business has tripled. As a successful business owner, Lindsey finds herself taking another leap this time into television as she and her sister Kirsten are ready to make their debut on the HGTV series 'Renovation 911.'
When Lindsey's dad first asked her to join the family business, she was unsure as the list of cons was longer than the pros. But for Lindsey, her family has always come first and she had promised to take their business to a new level and the series will help with that motive. In the season premiere, the viewers will see Lindsey and Kirsten in action, rebuilding a family's kitchen, living room, and garage, all of which were destroyed by a raging fire.
