After GFRIEND disbanded earlier this year, fans have been wondering what the girls have been up to. The popular third-gen group was right at its peak when unfortunately their label Source Music reported that their contracts had ended and the group had disbanded. While there are certain obstacles like trademark applications that have made GFRIEND’s future reunion uncertain, the girls are currently thriving with Eunha, SinB and Umji finding a new home at BPM Entertainment.

After the 6-member group left Source Music, they have been focusing on their individual careers. Sowon, the leader of the group signed with IOK Company whose executive director is none other than former iKON leader B.I aka Kim Hanbin. She will be expanding her career as an actress and her first acting gig is with iKON's Chanwoo. Yerin too has decided to enter the acting field and signed with Sublime Artist Agency home to Rain, GOT7’s Youngjae and Song Kang-ho. She landed the lead in the K-drama ‘Witch Shop Reopening’ along with CIX’s Younghee.

Eunha, SinB and Umji to be a 3-member group

Main GFRIEND vocalist Yuju has teamed up with entertainment agency Konnect Entertainment. Founded by Kang Daniel, it also houses the likes of former 2NE1 star CL and Chancellor. Fans then wondered about the remaining GFRIEND members who were still set to have individual careers. It has now been revealed that Eunha and the maknae (youngest) line -- SinB and Umji, have together signed with BPM Entertainment.

Big Planet Made (BPM) Entertainment is a relatively new entertainment agency. They signed their first artist in September - none other than former Sistar member Soyou. And on October 6, they signed with GFRIEND’s Eunha, SinB and Umji. The girls will be debuting as a 3-member K-pop girl group and releasing music together. Their group name could be BVIZ or VIVIZ. From their Instagram updates, it seems that there is also a possibility of the girls having solo ventures in the future.

'Congrats on your new journey'

Fans and the rest of GFRIEND are also happy for the girls. Sowon left ‘I love yous’ on the three girls’ posts and fans were touched that SinB still calls Sowon her leader. Buddys (GFRIEND’s fandom) made tweets like, “SOWON - IOK Company YERIN - Sublime Artist Agency YUJU - KONNECT Entertainment EUNHA, SINB, UMJI - BPM Ent We’re so proud of you !!”

“No but gfriend are so genius. Instead of joining all those big companies, they chose  companies with few artists so their companies can focus on them, wouldnt mistreat them and would give them special care. Congrats on your new journey sowon yerin eunha yuju sinb umji,” and “Kpop's big 4?? I only know Sowon, Yerin, Yuju and the BPM ent trio.”
