The 'Record of Youth' Episode 10 promo is out and it hints at Sa Hye-jun (Park Bo-gum) facing a slew of problems in his personal and professional life. All of it just when things were going fine for Hye-jun in his career and love. He had just found stardom with his work on TV, and he had also managed to get things going with Jeong-ah (Park So-dam) who has so far been an understanding and supportive girlfriend. However, the promo of the upcoming episode indicates that it is time for him to face some obstacles again.

Within the industry, Hye-jun has enough enemies who want to ruin his reputation and at the top of the list is his former manager. This guy has already released information regarding Hye-jun and one Charlie Jung, a designer. We know how Jung had approached Hye-jun to be his sponsor in the entertainment industry and if this were to be released to the public, all the good grace that Hye-jun had earned through his work and humility will be in jeopardy. He even hears about the rumors from someone over the phone and that shocks him. Will he be able to overcome this negative publicity, especially when people's interest in him has increased?

We also see Hye-jun's manager Min-jae tell him that he needs to be very careful of the watchful eyes of the paparazzi who are always on the hunt for a story. She tells him to be extra careful of his behavior in public and to not get caught hugging someone on the street. She would obviously mean Jeong-ah as she is aware of their relationship but wouldn't this create further distance between the two? As if to prove this, we also see how Jeong-ah spends time with Hae-hyo away from work. The two seem to go on a drive, and while she is out with Hae-hyo she also ends up missing a call from Hye-jun. Of course, this is a great set up for misunderstanding to crop up not only between the young lovers but also between best friends.

In fact, Hae-hyo has had a hard time recently dealing with his friend's success because of the pressure that his mother has begun to put on him. This is something that he confesses to Jeong-ah and he also tells her that it is extremely hard not to compare himself to his friend, but this is merely frustration and not hatred at this point. Could Hae-hyo's love for Jeong-ah, which is something that she is unaware of, lead to more complications in Jeong-ah's relationship? We also hear Jeong-ah say that she was hurt, not once but multiple times and we wonder how this will influence their new relationship.

'Record of Youth' originally airs on tvN on Mondays and Tuesdays in South Korea and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
