Niall Horan playfully threatens Reba McEntire to advance singer Ruby Leigh on 'The Voice' Season 24

Ruby Leigh's standout performance in 'The Voice' Season 24 Playoffs impressed the coaches

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Reba McEntire isn't actually facing termination from 'The Voice,' but she found herself in a playful predicament as her fellow coaches humorously pressured her to advance 16-year-old singer Ruby Leigh.

Ruby's standout performance in 'The Voice' Season 24 Playoffs impressed the coaches, with her plea for advancement resonating strongly.

Following Ruby's performance, Niall Horan quipped, "If you don't make it to the Lives, Reba is getting fired." It was all in good fun, prompting laughter from both Reba and Niall.

John Legend chimed in, jesting, "They're going to take her crown and scepter. She's going to be dethroned."

Niall added humorously, "Next season, I'll be sitting here with the crown and the scepter."

Meanwhile, on the Internet, a fan praised Ruby's performance, "#thevoice Ruby - Truly Outstanding Performance. Great Song." Another claimed, "I mean I knew it would be Jordan & Ruby regardless but I was hoping Noah would make it too."

A fan tweeted, "Ruby had me crying. Love that song, and she did great." Furthermore, one wrote, "Ruby is stunning! I'm not usually a country fan, but I'm definitely a Ruby fan!" One wrote, "Ruby is absolutely amazing."

Ruby Leigh's father breaks down after her performance in 'The Voice' Season 24 Playoffs

Ruby's father was seen sitting in the front row of the live audience. Niall noticed the same saying, "I'm really really emotional because you know how much of a family we all are."

He added, "I can see your dad down there in the front row." Ruby's father then wiped his tears. 

Niall thanked Ruby's father for raising his daughter and giving push to his daughter's music.

Ruby Leigh advances in 'The Voice' Season 24 Playoffs

Reba believed Ruby had a "way to go" in the show. She said, "I'm so proud of you."

The coach then explained how her mother was moved seeing her sing on the stage, the same as that of Ruby's father. People refused to sit beside Reba's mother as she would squeeze their hands while listening to her daughter sing on the stage.

Reba added, "I know how she feels now." Reba praises Ruby, "You just got it all together. I'm just so proud of you and your performance today was stellar."

'The Voice' Season 24 airs every Monday and Tuesday on NBC at 8 pm ET.
