'Queens': Live stream, release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about ABC's hip-hop series starring Brandy
R&B icon Brandy is returning to TV in a brand-new hip-hop series by ABC, titled 'Queens'. The 'Baby Mama' singer will join Eve and 'Power' star Naturi Naughton in the series which tells the story of four women who seek to reignite the fame they had in their early career days. Brandy will also supply music for the show’s score.

Plot
According to reports, 'Queens' will follow the lives of four out-of-touch and estranged women in their 40s who reunite to get back in the music game. The women were all that made up a '90s group called Nasty Bitches and who were regarded as legends in the hip-hop world.
Grammy-winning artist and actress Brandy is slated to play Naomi, who was better known by her stage name as Xplicit Lyrics. Portrayed as a true artiste and talented musical powerhouse, Naomi was certain she’d go on to mainstream success after the group’s demise but doesn't.
The character winds up singing and playing guitar in abysmal dive bars where all people want is her old persona, according to a description by Variety. Later, Nasty Bitches reunites to recapture their fame and swagger, and Naomi meets the only man she ever loved once again. But what Naomi wants more than anything is to repair a relationship with the daughter she was never really there for.

While Brandy Norwood is known as an R&B queen and prominent singer-songwriter with music dating back to the early '90s, she has flexed her acting chops in a number of film and television appearances.
In 1998, Brandy starred alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt in 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer'. Her other notable film appearances include 'Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor', 'The Perfect Match' and more. She has made numerous TV appearances for shows like '90210', 'The Game', 'Zoe Ever After' and 'Star'.
Eve
Eve Jihan Jeffers Cooper (known professionally as Eve) is a rapper, singer-songwriter, actress, television presenter and talk show hostess from Philadelphia. Another Grammy-winning artiste, Eve has a total of four studio albums and has been ranked No. 46 on VH1's list of 50 Greatest Hip Hop Artists.
As an actress, Eve is known for her role as Terri Jones in the films 'Barbershop', 'Barbershop 2: Back in Business', and 'Barbershop: The Next Cut', as well as Shelley Williams on the UPN television sitcom 'Eve'. Additionally, she has appeared in films such as 'The Woodsman' (2004), 'The Cookout' (2004) and 'Whip It'. (2009).
Naturi Naughton
A singer-songwriter and actress, Naturi Naughton is best known as one-third of the R&B group 3LW and for her acting roles in 'Fame', Notorious', 'The Playboy Club' and in the 2009 Notorious B.I.G. biopic 'Notorious' in which she portrayed Lil Kim.
Naughton played Kendra as a series regular in season one of the Lifetime television drama series 'The Client List'. She also starred in the Starz drama 'Power' as Tasha St. Patrick and has reprised her role in the spin-off series 'Power Book II: Ghost'.
