SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Netflix has officially the first episode of ‘Queen of Tears’, starring Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ji-won, Park Sung-hoon, Kwak Dong-Yeon, Lee Joo-bin, Na Young-hee, Kim Seon-hwa, Jung Jin-young, and Hong Beom-joon in pivotal roles.

In ‘Queen of Tears’ Episode 1, viewers are introduced to several characters, part by part, in different scenes. Still, the focus remains on Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won) and Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun).

The first episode revolves around the protagonists and their high-profile world, delving into the intricacies of their lives, relationships, and the challenges they face.

What happens between Baek Hyun-woo and Hong Hae-in?

In ‘Queen of Tears’ Episode 1, viewers are introduced to the captivating love story between Baek Hyun-woo and Hong Hae-in. However, as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Hyun-woo and Hae-in's marriage is not a smooth ride.

Baek Hyun-woo falls in love with Hong Hae-in while she is interning at the department store franchise she will one day inherit, but he is unaware that she is actually a chaebol heiress.

After getting married, Baek Hyun-woo's life takes a dramatic turn when he learns of Hong Hae-in's true identity. The love between Baek Hyun-woo and Hong Hae-in begins to fade.

The pressures stemming from Hong Hae-in's chaebol background and societal expectations impact their marriage.

Hong Hae-in's demeanor towards Baek Hyun-woo also becomes increasingly cold and distant. The once-loving connection they shared begins to wither, replaced by a sense of loneliness and disconnect.

At the end of the premiere, Hong Hae-in confides in Baek Hyun-woo that she has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and has only three months left to live.

Baek Hyun-woo is faced with the stark reality of losing the woman he once loved, along with the chance to mend their relationship.

The news forces him to confront his true feelings for her, and he tells Hae-in that he loves her. He is visibly shaken and fearful at the thought of losing Hong Hae-in.

What lies ahead for them in the future? Only time will tell.
