Shantall wins challenge with Luann de Lesseps, 'Project Runway' fans joke 'Jovani who'

Even though Luann didn't mention Jovani anywhere that didn't stop 'Project Runway' fans from taking to Twitter to joke about it

'Real Housewives of New York' star Luann de Lesseps' love for designer brand Jovani is no secret. From fighting with her co-star Dorinda Medley over the brand to releasing a song called 'Feelin' Jovani', the housewife never shied away from showing off her love to her favorite brand. So, when Luann was roped in as a model/ client on the recently aired episode of 'Project Runway' fans watched eagerly to see if the housewife would name-drop Jovani.

Sadly Luann didn't mention Jovani anywhere but didn't stop fans from taking to Twitter to joke about it after Luann's designer Shantall Lacayo won the challenge for designing the housewife's outfit. The designers were tasked with the challenge of creating a reunion look for the housewives, and Shantall was assigned the Countess as her model. Shantall carefully listened to what Luann was expecting in terms of her outfit and delivered it. The designer wanted to highlight Luann's cabaret dancer style so she created a half suit and half laced corset dress.

The end result was a stunning black dress that perfectly flattered Luann's body and left the judges awestruck. Judge Brandon Maxwell appreciated Shantall's knowledge of the female body and how she managed to incorporate Luann's strong personality into the outfit. He also revealed that Shantall received the highest scoring he has ever given on the show. The other judges too praised the designer for her interesting take on Luann's outfit and crowned her the winner of the challenge.

After Shantall won the challenge she gushed over it and pointed out how it would go a long way as Luann would promote her and her designs on her social media. Fans were amused on hearing Shantall's words and joked about Luann's obsession with Jovani. A fan tweeted, "I am stunned to see that Luann didn't Jovani #ProjectRunway." Another fan wrote, "I am shocked Luann didn't mention JOVANI during the initial design consult haha @BravoTV #projectrunway." "Luann doesn’t need Giovanni anymore #RHONY #ProjectRunway," declared a fan. "Jovani who? #ProjectRunway #RHONY," seconded a fan. "Dorinda is somewhere saying “Shantall” instead of Jovani #ProjectRunway #RHONY," joked a fan.

'Project Runway' Season 19 airs every Thursday at 9/8c on Bravo.
