With the Robertson Panel breathing down the necks of Dr J Allen Hynek and Captain Michael Quinn's elaborate work as part of 'Project Blue Book', there's a latent air of panic surrounding the quite possible shut down of the US Air Force investigation.

And while both Hynek and Quinn try to continue their research amid hints of the Air Force itself trying to snub claims of these alien and UFO sightings, the coming episode also teases a Mimi and Susie reunion — but in not so favorable circumstances.

Titled 'What Lies Beneath', Episode 8 of Season 2 hints at something really bad that Mimi has partaken in. The promo released by the show's official Twitter account shows Susie in the Hynek household, confronting Mimi on what Hynek was referring to when he brought up the topic of Mimi stealing something.

Of course, Mimi now knows better than to wholeheartedly indulge in spilling the beans to Susie, or anybody else for that matter, but she does tell her close friend and the undercover Russian spy about something very bad that she has done.

The teaser doesn't reveal what exactly Mimi claims to have done, but she does admit having put her family's life in danger. When Susie tries assuring her that there's always a way out,  Mimi says this time there isn't and the panic-struck frustration on her face is enough to validate her claims.

Mimi then leaves Susie alone in the room they were conversing in and suddenly a look of solemn conviction takes over Susie, possibly hinting that she is determined to help her friend out.

While what Mimi has done continues to be a secret, the mere idea of a reunion between the two characters has captured fans' intrigue, as they took to the comments section to address how eagerly they have awaited this reunion.

"Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! Bringing it! Their chemistry is on point! Can't wait for this episode! Let's go!" shared a fan on Twitter, while another curiously reflected: "How bad, in relation to Susie's bad could Mimi have done? On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being Susie?"

'Project Blue Book' Season 2 airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm on History.
