Plot

'Private Lives' is about a con artist who unintentionally gets involved in with huge corporate conglomerates that work on a national scale; he unearths a scheme of theirs and decides to compete against them and out them. Lee Jung-hwan (Go Gyung-pyo) is a team leader at one of the major corporations at the beginning of the show. He looks like an ordinary company employee, but he is a mysterious figure. On the other hand, Cha Joo-eun (Seohyun) is a swindler, who has the looks of a sweet, innocent woman but she earns her living by committing fraud.

Cast

Go Gyung-pyo as Lee Jung-hwan

Actor Go Gyung-pyo plays the lead role of a con artist who hides in the garb of a corporate employee Lee Jung-hwan in the JTBC show. He coincidentally comes across a complex and corrupt scheme of a conglomerate and attempts to compete against big corporations in their own games.

Actor Seohyun who was previously seen in 'The Time', 'Bad Thief, Good Thief', among other shows will play the female lead Cha Joo-eun in the show. Joo-eun, unlike Gyung-pyo, doesn't have an alias and is a straight forward swindler who cons people to support herself financially. How the two of them manage to outwit the conglomerate companies and what drives them will be interesting to watch.

Other cast members include Kim Hyo-jin as Jung Bok-ki, Kim Young-min as Kim Jae-wook, Park Sung-geun as Cha Hyun-tae, Song Sun-mi as Kim Mi-sook, Tae Won-suk as Han-son, Lee Hak-joo as Kim Myung-hyun, Jang Jin-hee as Min-jung, Yoon Sa-bong as Yang In-sook, Kim Ba-da as Woo Suk-ho, Cha Soo-yeon as Oh Hyun-kyung, Kim Seo-won as President Nam, Yoon Jung-hoon as Park Kyung-sup, Kwak Min-ho as Min Kyoo, and Han Kyu-won as Chief Park.

Writer-Director

The show is written by Yoo Sung-yeol who had previously worked on 'Heartless City' and 'My Beautiful Bride'. The show is directed by Nam Gun who previously worked on shows 'Roya Gambler' and 'Temperature of Love'.

Trailers

The trailer of 'Private Lives' released in September on JTBC and it introduces the con artists Cha Joo-eun, Lee Jung-hwan, and other acquaintances of theirs who help them swindle people out of their money. The trailer hints at how much of the show depends on piquing audiences' curiosity to pull them in and get them invested in the show and its characters. We also meet the players who are on the side of the conglomerates that these con artists try to hoodwink. Will they succeed?
