'Power' Season 6 Episode 9: People keep underestimating Tasha, and they all end up dead - Shawn, Silver, and now Keisha

The fact of the matter is that no one truly understands Tasha and what she is capable of, like Ghost does, which is why despite the hatred and the bitterness, and their love other people and the ghosts of who they loved once, they belong together

Starz's 'Power' just killed off one of its most important characters, and we all still balling our eyes over it, but we cannot deny the baller that Tasha (Naturi Naughton) is. Despite showing that she is as ride or die as they come time and again, people keep underestimating her, and now that she has her first body - first at least on-screen - in Season 7 Episode 8, maybe they will stop.

Over the years, we have seen multiple people take her for much less than she actually is, whether it is Shawn (Sinqua Walls) and Terry Silver (Brandon Victor Dixon) assuming that she is a delicate flower that needs to be protected from the vile and violence of the world of her own choosing, or LaKeisha (La La Anthony) believing that she gets to enjoy the lush and luxurious lifestyle of a mob wife without having to pay any price. We know that neither of this is true, and all of the mentioned paid the price for underestimating her.

Tasha knows who she is, and has no qualms about it, and is willing to do what it takes to protect herself and hers. Even as she killed Keisha in the previous episode, you could see the various emotions running through her eyes - shock, regret, sadness, and finally the acceptance that she did what she had to, and if she had to she would do it again. After all, the two of them were best friends growing up and that love does not just fade away, but ultimately, she has enough given up and lost enough to recognize that memories don't protect her son - her love and her actions protect him. She is ruthless and will go to any lengths to get what she wants.

In fact, the deaths of Shawn and Silver were ironically funny in that they both tried to "rescue" Tashsa from Ghost (Omari Hardwick), and her life, but in the end they got killed because they didn't belong in that life. The fact of the matter is that no one truly understands Tasha and what she is capable of like Ghost does, which is why despite the hatred and the bitterness, and their love, and the ghosts of who they loved once, they belong together.

Don't forget to watch Season 7 Episode 9 of 'Power' on Sunday, October 20 to find out what Tasha's next move is.
