'Power' Season 6 Episode 11: To understand who shot Ghost, we must first learn more about Breeze
Ever since Season 6 of 'Power' aired its mid-season finale, fans only want one question answered – Who killed Ghost (Omari Harwick)? Why they killed him is a question we can answer with regard to each of the suspects, thanks to the tumultuous relationship Ghost has with them all.
His ex-wife Tasha (Naturi Naughton) blames Ghost for everything that went wrong in her life, his former best friend Tommy (Joseph Sikora) blames him for manipulating him into killing his father, his son Tariq (Michael Rainey, Jr) blames him for not being a good father and a host of others have their own issues with Ghost.
While the suspects are aplenty, the last conversation Ghost had with his son before him getting shot in the chest and falling from the balcony at Truth fuels our suspicion regarding Tariq.
During the heated conversation, we saw Tariq asking his father to confess to killing Breeze, a character we are yet to meet. He was presumably Ghost's father who dies before the events of 'Power'.
After revealing to Tariq that he did, in fact, kill Breeze, Ghost tells his son that he was the same age as Tariq when he killed him. He told his son he "didn't want to kill Breeze" because he "loved" him, but Breeze stood in his way and he felt like he had no choice but to eliminate him.
It would be nothing short of poetic justice for history to repeat itself in the St. Patrick family.
More details regarding Ghost's hitherto unconfirmed death, however, will be revealed when Starz released an all-new trailer for the final five episodes of the series on Thursday, December 12, at 12.01 am ET/ Wednesday, December 11 at 9.01 pm PT.
According to the press statement, "the new trailer examines the top seven suspects in the shooting of James 'Ghost' St. Patrick, giving new insights into the motives and mindset of each of the potential assailants."
The last five episodes of the entire series will air weekly after Season 6 Episode 10 of 'Power' on Sunday, January 5, 2020, on Starz.
