'Power' Season 6 Episode 11: Ghost may be alive when Starz show returns as showrunner Courtney Kemp asks 'Did you see him die?'
Ever since Season 6 Episode 10 of 'Power' premiered on Sunday, 3 November, fans of the Starz show has had only one question - Is Ghost (Omari Hardwick) alive? We did see him getting shot and falling off a building to the ground below, but does that mean he is dead? We don't know yet, but the show's creator Courtney Kemp has given us a major teaser regarding what we can expect when 'Power' returns with Season 6 Episode 11 on the first Sunday of 2020.
In an interview with TV Line soon after the show aired its mid-season finale, Kemp was asked if Ghost has become a ghost now, and her response was interesting. "He got shot. I didn’t see him die. Did you see him die?" she asked the interviewer and this particular answer gives us quite a bit of hope regarding Ghost's future.
In the last season finale of the show, which happened to be that of Season 5, we saw another big death — that of Angela (Lela Loren), Ghost's girlfriend. Some of us had assumed that she may yet make a comeback on the show, but 10 episodes later, it has been established that Angela is actually dead. Even Kanan (50 Cent), who we thought was invincible died last season, which is why Ghost's death seems permanent to us.
Especially since the show is coming to an end with the Season 6 finale, it seems like killing off Ghost would be a perfect way to go. That being said, there are a few more episodes pending and we would really love for Ghost to be a part of those, and hopefully, even in the 'Power 2.0' spin-off show that 50 Cent is working on. We had assumed that the show might even focus on Ghost after he leaves the streets and for all we know, this "death" may just be a diversion that would allow for him to start over elsewhere.
We are certainly looking forward to the return of 'Power' Season 6 with Episode 11 on January 5, 2020, on Starz.
