Billy Porter joins the 'American Horror Story' fan army as he says: "I was there getting a master class"

Porter will do a few more episodes on 'AHS: Apocalypse' and maybe then the audience will get to see more of his powers.

Billy Porter joins the 'American Horror Story' fan army as he says: "I was there getting a master class"

The new season of FX's 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' aired on September 12, but everything is in the unknown apart from little details about the characters and the crossover between the two previous seasons 'American Horror Story: the Murder House' and 'American Horror Story: Coven'. However, actor Billy Porter had taken to Instagram stories to reveal details about his debut on 'AHS: Apocalypse' as Behold Chablis and that had the viewers hooked.

And now in an interview to E! News, Porter was asked to detail the process, how writer Ryan Murphy approached him for the show and he revealed, "He just said, ‘I need you here yesterday,' and when Ryan calls, you just go."

Behold is a warlock teacher and has an incredible fashion sense, however not much has been revealed about his character and his powers. He was seen filling a cup of wine with a wave of his hand and making a book fly across the room merely with a wave of his hand.

In the interview, the Tony-winning actor said, "My powers are just regular…regular, everyday powers. If I had a power…I don't know right now. It would have something to do with politics right now, " he added, "How could I shut these people up? [Laughs.] How could I shut it down? How could I shut that down and nobody know? I would love to have the power to fix our government."

The audience went crazy over his appearance on AHS and so did Porter. He explained his excitement over working with many AHS veterans, his "ladies". When asked about the experience Porter laughingly said, "I got to work with Frances Conroy, I got to work with Sarah Paulson, and I was in the episode that she directed, which is so great because I got to work with Jessica Lange. You know, the divas. I was there getting a master class, honey. I was there getting my PhD." Porter also added that he had been a fan of Conroy since 'Six Feet Under'.

Porter will return for 'Pose' season two, although he knows nothing about the plot because he wouldn't be able to keep it a secret, explained Porter. While talking about the difference between 'Pose' and 'AHS: Apocalypse' Porter says, "The difference is, this is real heightened work and finding a way to sort of acknowledge the heightened energy of it while grounding simultaneously," he said about AHS. Porter adds, "I mean, I guess Pray Tell is heightened in a way when he's at the balls, and I get to drop into really something real, in my other scenes. This like you have to do both at the same time, you have to be heightened and real at the same time. It's very stylized too. It's funny because we'd do that thing where something happens and then you take a look at somebody else, and then look at somebody else—a dramatic look—and then they yell, ‘Cut!' and we all laugh [Laughs.] because it's so dramatic and funny…It's fun, it's very fun."

Fans have been coming up with theories and speculations with regards to Billy Porter and Adina Porter being related, especially after his debut on 'AHS: Apocalypse' of which Adina too is a part. Adina, replied to this speculation with a delightful tweet.
