Who is the pianist at Golden Globes? Fans feel bad for Chloe Flower as she gets trolled for playing 'walk-off' music
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: The 80th edition of Golden Globes held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, proved to be a success, with a list of deserving winners, emotional speeches, powerful tributes, and stunning red carpet looks. However, it was a rough night for pianist Chloe Flower, who got bashed by Michelle Yeoh among others for playing off the actress during her acceptance speech for best actress in a musical or comedy film. People took a dig at the pianist but many also came to defend her, including host Jerrod Carmichael.
During the award ceremony, the Emmy-winning comedian interrupted a few winners, who assumed the music was to hurry up their speech and said that Flower is playing the music to keep the show moving, she isn’t playing the walk-off music, as stated by Just Jared. This comes after Yeoh, 60, recalled her journey by saying, “You had a really, really good run. You worked with some of the best people: Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, and Danny Boyle, and so, it’s good. It’s all good. Then along came the best gift, ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once'." And that’s when Flower started playing her off. To which, Yeoh laughingly said, "Shut up, please. I can beat you up," reports New York Post.
